L'Jardin de la Malmaison: Hop-kins
http://la-bealtaine.blogspot.com/2010/08/hop-kins.html
L'Jardin de la Malmaison. Monday, August 9, 2010. First bunny sighting at Johns Hopkins. A friend once told me that while the area around Hopkins is not so nice and scary-looking, the campus does procure these redeeming little bunnies. To be fair, my little visitor is a hare and not a rabbit, but is equally cute and bouncy. Bounce, bounce, bounce. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. L'Jardin de la Malmaison: February 2010
http://la-bealtaine.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
L'Jardin de la Malmaison. Saturday, February 20, 2010. This darksome burn, horseback brown,. His rollrock highroad roaring down,. In coop and in comb the fleece of his foam. Flutes and low to the lake falls home. A windpuff-bonnet of fawn-froth. Turns and twindles over the broth. Of a pool so pitchblack, fell-frowning,. It rounds and rounds Despair to drowning. Degged with dew, dappled with dew. Are the groins of the braes that the brook treads through,. Wiry heathpacks, flitches of fern,.

L'Jardin de la Malmaison: April 2010
http://la-bealtaine.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
L'Jardin de la Malmaison. Thursday, April 8, 2010. Procrastinating my developmental psychology midterm, I chance upon an old document lying around my documents folder! Fancy that, Napoleon limericks I wrote some years ago. Here they are for all to enjoy- hopefully more to come. Concerning a Touchy Subject. Napoleon dismounting his cruiser. Replied to his taunting abuser. I'm not four eleven;. I'm pushing five seven". And bust a cap in that sore loser. Treaty of Tilsit with Czar Alexander I. Alex", he said.

L'Jardin de la Malmaison: Summer Flowers
http://la-bealtaine.blogspot.com/2010/08/summer-flowers.html
L'Jardin de la Malmaison. Monday, August 2, 2010. Today I put together some flower hair combs, inspired by Etsy seller Gardens of Whimsy. For the yellow chrysanthemum comb, I hot glued the leaves onto the comb first and then glued the flowers layer by layer onto the leaves once the glue had dried. I ended up using leftover florist's wire to tie each of the blue hydrangea clusters (3 total) onto the comb, and then hot gluing around each tied area to secure. And here's what it looks like being worn!

L'Jardin de la Malmaison: June 2010
http://la-bealtaine.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
L'Jardin de la Malmaison. Monday, June 28, 2010. Although the topic seems incredibly callow, fish farts have been bothering me for years. From an early age, I would observe these little bubbles rising from the rear end of our family goldfish, and wonder. Was it a fart? Or was it just some strange underwater mechanism unrelated to the digestive tract? Image from Sony eBookstore. Buildup results in underwater flatulence. Sunday, June 27, 2010. L'Jardin de la Malmaison: Ugly Chair Becomes Different Kind of Ugly
http://la-bealtaine.blogspot.com/2010/08/ugly-chair-becomes-different-kind-of.html
L'Jardin de la Malmaison. Thursday, August 5, 2010. Ugly Chair Becomes Different Kind of Ugly. I had an old chair that I wanted to take with me to my new apartment, just because it was white and it matched the furniture. However, it is also obscenely old and cracked. Meanwhile Mary sits quietly on my other chair, thinking that her hat is too big. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. L'Jardin de la Malmaison: Malmaison
http://la-bealtaine.blogspot.com/2009/05/malmaison.html
L'Jardin de la Malmaison. Friday, May 29, 2009. A bit of French history: the "Château de Malmaison". Her private painter Pierre-Joseph Redouté spent much of his time drawing and painting these beautiful blooms. A lovely book. Of these drawings is now available from Barnes and Noble. Apparently there was also a zoo at Malmaison, and pineapple trees. June 2, 2009 at 12:09 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
