The Hopkins' Happenings: May 2010
http://kelseyandsmith.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 6, 2010. I saw a really cute idea in Pottery Barn's summer catalog. I almost soley restrict myself to simply getting "ideas" from Pottery Barn. As most of their items don't fall within my slim deocrating budget. There was an old shelf with cute mason jars hanging with candles. I thought it was precious. I had the perfect shelf. It was one my mom had seen at a garage sale and picked up for a buck or two. Its just been sitting in my garage, waiting for the perfect project. A few times at least.

The Hopkins' Happenings: Project #1

Thursday, May 6, 2010. I had been really wanting a bookshelf in our living room to display all our pictures of family and friends that didn't have a place. So a couple months back. Smith and I decided to undertake our first "from scratch". I had already refinished multiple peices, but this was our first time to build the peice. Thankfully, I have a super handy husband. Who can figure out just about any project he sets his mind too. Otherwise. this gorgeous bookcase would not be in existance :).

http://kelseyandsmith.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. Pricey VS. Priceless. So normally the story would simply end here.and I would have to settle for some lesser decor for above my couch. Lucky for me. it doesn't end here. I have an incredibly talented brother that turned my pricey dilemma into a priceless experience! After seeing the paintings I had my eye on, he created gorgeous replicas that are practically identical! See if you can tell the difference! KELSEY HOPKINS, RN. Thankfully I have wonderful teachers at work that re...

Wednesday, June 24, 2009. She really did look surprised. I'm sure she had some idea from all the cars lining Reena's street though :). So happy (and overwhelmed) to see everyone there. She was looking so cute in her summer dress! Some of the decorations. I made the COLE letters for his nursery. Erin got lots of great stuff from everyone! The bookcase I refinished for Cole's nursery. I was really nervous about how Erin would like it, but when I saw her tears (happy tears) I knew she loved it! Me with Emma...

The Hopkins' Happenings: Project #2
http://kelseyandsmith.blogspot.com/2010/05/project-2.html
Thursday, May 6, 2010. I have been really wanting a small table. For our entry way (are you starting to see a pattern.). So Smith and I thought. what better to do on a Tuesday night than build a table? I actually took some process pictures for this one. I don't have the starting point, but as it was "from scratch". Once again, you can probably imagine a pile of wood. It took us about 2 hours to build this beauty. I got up the next day and painted it while Smith was at work. We are really happy. This wind...

Thoughts For You From Me. Thursday, May 6, 2010. I found this video on youtube tonight and thought I would share it with everyone. It's an interesting perspective on what we just experienced in the last week as lives were taken, homes destroyed, and history rewritten. I know my life will forever be changed.
