October 27, 2014. Here is the first of several MX-2424 shots. 8212; jaycotton @ 6:16 pm. This is the full up remote rig. The guy in front with the Alan and Heath is the FOH mixer. The band is Megatones from SF bay area. In this picture you see the MX-2424 at the bottom, with a power sequencer next up. The 3 M-Audio preamps are used for just that, I have them setup now to all ADAT to the MX-2424. The top rack is a Behringer mixer and headphone amp. This is used to check solo’s on the recording.

November 21, 2011. Recording booth door is finished. 8212; jaycotton @ 10:38 pm. Mostly. I need to put up the door stop and put some gasket stuff around it. The next sound source to fix is. In the corner next to the mixer power supply. Fan noise is sneaking through the seem. I packed some foam. In the gap, but that did not fix the problem. Control room door is the next project. September 27, 2012. 8212; jaycotton @ 6:08 pm. I got an re20 via ebay and it’s in need of serious work. The mic works and sound fair, but all the rubber parts inside are missing/flaking/falling out. I ordered replacement parts from Full Compass (they have lots of replacement parts) and I expect to have the mic cleaned up and ready by next week. October 28, 2014. Pictures of the modifications the MX-2424. 8212; jaycotton @ 3:43 am. Ok So here are the pictures of the modified unit. So, the drive bay is open to allow air flow. The two drives are hard mounded in the bracket. The added power supply is mounted on the cabinet wall in the space next to and below the AD/DA boards. There is a picture of one of the. October 14, 2011. Changes to the new studio are needed. 8212; jaycotton @ 5:29 pm. First off, the recording booth is now smaller (not enough room for all 5 panels) so its 4`x4`. This is ‘o.k.’ as long as we are careful about what we put in there. Problem is the door will now have to swing out. I am thinking about a solid core slab door.
