Will ETA movement be replaced by Sellita and other brands? April 27, 2012. As we’ve discussed in several prior articles ETA is reducing it’s supply to outside buyers. That is, buyers outside of the Swatch group that it’s a part of. Swatch has indicated that they must reduce outside sales as they can not produce enough movements for their own use due to increased demand. What does this mean for the consumer? Will they offer the same service guarantees and warranty support customers expect for their money?

Don’t regulate your own watches. April 17, 2012. Regulating ETA swiss movement is a lot more complex than it appears. If your watch is inaccurate beyond factory tolerance there is a reason. The watch probably requires cleaning, conditioning, oiling, greasing and inspection. You need to have a professional ensure that all of the wheels are free from obstruction.
