Family adventure year - Wendy: Tornados, RV parks and the City of New Orleans
http://wendy-familyadventure.blogspot.com/2010/01/tornados-rv-parks-and-city-of-new.html
Friday, 22 January 2010. Tornados, RV parks and the City of New Orleans. We are in Scottsdale, Arizona visiting my Mom who has recently moved here after 30 years in San Diego. She moved here because San Diego wasn’t hot enough for her and when you have arthritis, deep penetrating desert warmth is what you would sell your best milking cow - or your condo in San Diego - for. 8220;Your best milking cow…” Where did that farm analogy come from? My question is, “What are RV drivers doing at a CAR show? Wild An...

Family adventure year - Josh: September 2009
http://josh-familyadventure.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Family adventure year - Josh. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. IT’S JUST A STATUE! In my opinion Mt. Rushmore should never have been made into a national monument, because in essence, it’s a statue. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great, but as I said, it’s just a statue. It may be an utterly massive statue showing all of America’s greatest presidents, but it’s just a statue! I wonder, if I made a big statue of Elvis Presley out of a mountain, would it become a national monument? Monday, September 14, 2009. Edited ...

Family adventure year - Josh: July 2009
http://josh-familyadventure.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Family adventure year - Josh. Friday, July 31, 2009. Three days ago I got back from spending four weeks at Camp Becket in the Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts. I have many mixed feelings about my time at camp, but over all it was a fun time. Thus without the letters I’d sent them, they knew not of my troubles, and so I didn’t get any help from my councilors, until a week or two into camp! During the third week, was when other cast members and I preformed the “Big Show”! In a nutshell I think the play...

Family adventure year - Josh: The Eternal Plain
http://josh-familyadventure.blogspot.com/2009/10/eternal-plain.html
Family adventure year - Josh. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. I was inspired to write this blog form the flat plains of South Dakota; it is not about an actual plain, but more of state of a state of consciousness. If you really go into the very core of this poem, you will find that it is all about nothing, and how it coincides with all that actually, or simply is. Here I lie, amidst all of nothing. My body is still,. Stretching out in mindless enormity before my very eyes. I see a plain. And it simply is,.

Family adventure year - Josh: Poems Inspired By The Zoo
http://josh-familyadventure.blogspot.com/2010/02/poems-inspired-by-zoo.html
Family adventure year - Josh. Friday, February 26, 2010. Poems Inspired By The Zoo. Yesterday I went to the National Zoo in Washington, D.C., when I was there I wrote a series of short 2-3 line poems about different animals, here they are:. A panda is a boring creature. Its cute face is. Its only notable feature. Watching quizzically from their burrows,. And when they see you,. Their little brow furrows. Hiding in his shell all day. To eat, sleep, or play. Clinging to the tank wall. So, he turned with me...
