Unveiling Radiance: February 2011
http://unveilingradiance.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. About a year ago, this golden retriever adopted my kids and me. He belongs to a good friend so we saw him often. Last August, we found out Budi has lymphoma. He was not expected to live long. We started praying for him and he made it through Christmas and his own birthday last week. But he's been suffering lately and today he goes to the vet to be put to sleep. It's been hard for us to say goodbye. Links to this post. Thursday, February 24, 2011. Y = yod — Hand. I didn't know t...

Unveiling Radiance: On Distance
http://unveilingradiance.blogspot.com/2011/04/on-distance.html
Friday, April 15, 2011. It's time for 5 Minute Friday with thegypsymama. This week's theme: On Distance. I confess it's a little unnerving to write for 5 minutes straight about whatever comes into my brain - just shooting straight from the hip. But hey, it's Friday. Time to let loose and live a little.). I've lived with distance my whole life. Saying goodbye to my parents and little sisters at the age of 8, going to boarding school for missionaries' kids, 2 hours flight away from home. I'm tired of livin...

Unveiling Radiance: Alive
http://unveilingradiance.blogspot.com/2011/04/alive.html
Monday, April 25, 2011. Easter Sunday was more meaningful for me this year because my 88 year old grandmother was preparing to cross over to Heaven. She'd been in ICU battling pneumonia with complications for nearly a week. Most of the family was there, saying their goodbyes. I spoke mine over the phone from 5 states away. There is sadness mixed with hope. I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies." John 11:25. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Peace for t...

Unveiling Radiance: September 2010
http://unveilingradiance.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 28, 2010. I was meandering through some older posts and ran into this one. It's a favorite. Anything about grace tends to capture my attention. Because I need to think about this again, I'm reposting. . . Sunday morning, my pastor used a phrase that captured my attention. He said we live in "an atmosphere of grace.". This is more than just a cool phrase. What does this mean? What does it look like? How does it feel? Quite honestly, I'm still trying to understand this concept. If you ha...

Unveiling Radiance: July 2011
http://unveilingradiance.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 29, 2011. Not what my life has been like this past month. The days have been full of activity, details, hurry, decisions, stress. Packing, sorting, tossing out stuff and all that goes with moving to a new place. My body is tired. My soul is tired. Last night I finally stopped the anxious hurry in my head and poured it all out before God. He listened and then asked me to give up control of all these things that I've been carrying. Letting go of the burden, the weight of responsibility. Thursd...

Unveiling Radiance: March 2011
http://unveilingradiance.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. I heard this classic Phillips, Craig and Dean song on Pandora today. Some things are timeless - this is one of them. Links to this post. Monday, March 28, 2011. Because You are my help, I sing in the shadow of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand holds me up.". Has made me more aware of the moment. I find myself stopping and just enjoying simple things, holding close that one moment and treasuring it as a gift. Praising Him for these gifts. . . 304 A rainy day.

Life in the Express Lane: Douglas style: Life and Loss
http://douglaseslife.blogspot.com/2014/08/life-and-loss.html
Life in the Express Lane: Douglas style. We have a GPS; his name is Jesus. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Yes, those are signs of a beautiful life. This has also created a time of great revival in my heart, as I seek God's face more fervently, and ponder His pouring out on my life, this journey. I am growing, and being stretched, sometimes in unexpected, painful and un-wished-for ways, and yet, I am grateful for a Saviour; Whom without I would have no hope at all. 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies,...
