0 - $. SAMPLES OR NO SAMPLES? Kick drums can be quite tricky, you don’t want too much click but not enough and it won’t cut through the mix. Pretty often I’ll add two or three different samples to the original kick tone to help shape it into the mix. I really like using the Warm Audio eq to help shape the kick also. Always check the phase when adding samples. Adding shakers or tambourines can really help with the groove. Don’t be afraid to automate drum levels to help with dynamics. There's a reason I've...

0 - $. August 5, 2016. August 20, 2016. Liberty Deep Down entered Spider Studios to work with me on a few new songs. These guys are super cool, very young and have a bright future. The sound is kinda electro meets rock/pop and it has been really fun working on their project. Singer Dom says “Working with Ben has been incredible!
