Everyday and Not so Everyday: January 2015
http://www.everydayandnotsoeveryday.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Everyday and Not so Everyday. Wednesday, 28 January 2015. Ok, yes it is a fancy name but the dish is of fried chicken mince balls sautéed in a tomato and green olive sauce. This is apparently a Morroccon dish which uses Manchega cheese too, but I didn’t use it as the recipe I followed didn’t mention it. So here is my take on Albondigas Manchega. For the Chicken Balls. 220 grams of chicken mince,. 50 grams of bread crumbs,. 189; tsp dried thyme,. 189; tsp dried basil,. 1 pod of garlic (finely minced),.
Everyday and Not so Everyday: January 2014

Everyday and Not so Everyday. Thursday, 16 January 2014. I guess I have come a long way in my cooking journey.there was a time when I thought custard was only made using Brown and Polson custard powder :-). The other day I added mashed banana and cinnamon to the caramel custard to make banana cinnamon custard. Here is the recipe I followed. 4 cups milk,. 1 cup mashed banana,. 2 tsp vanilla extract,. 200 grams sugar,. 2 tsp cinnamon powder. Grease flat bottomed bowls or ramekins. I used steel katoris.
Everyday and Not so Everyday: Bassa Fillets with Apple Chutney
http://www.everydayandnotsoeveryday.blogspot.com/2015/01/bassa-fillets-with-apple-chutney.html
Everyday and Not so Everyday. Sunday, 18 January 2015. Bassa Fillets with Apple Chutney. It has been a long time since I posted something here. I have actually not been cooking as much as earlier, what with my hectic project schedule. If at all I have cooked, it has been normal everyday cooking. This is a recipe I saw on TV, it is the creation of a Pakistani chef. I have followed the recipe with some teeny weeny changes primarily in the proportions. 1 kg bassa fillet,. 2 tbsp ginger paste,. Salt to taste,.
Everyday and Not so Everyday: September 2014

Everyday and Not so Everyday. Wednesday, 10 September 2014. Chocolate Cake with Ganache Frosting. The hubby’s birthday should always fall on a weekend, especially if you are planning to bake a cake for him and especially if you are trying a new recipe which has more steps rather than just mix together-bake-serve. But unfortunately that was not to be, the hubby’s birthday came on a Thursday this year and not a normal Thursday. Now for the recipe…. For the Chocolate Cake. 1 ¼ cup refined flour,. 1 cup milk,.
Everyday and Not so Everyday: Suran Kofta Curry
http://www.everydayandnotsoeveryday.blogspot.com/2014/02/suran-kofta-curry.html
Everyday and Not so Everyday. Wednesday, 26 February 2014. I have generally seen suran or zimikand kofta recipes with cooked suran, but I made it with raw suran and it had a lovely taste. Non-suran lovers will never guess what the koftas are made of.I tried it with one :-). 250 grams of suran,. 189; to ¾ cup roasted gram flour,. 1 medium-sized chopped onion,. Green chilli paste to taste,. 1 tsp ginger paste,. Juice of half a lemon,. Salt to taste,. 189; tsp garam mssala powder,. 4 chopped garlic cloves,.

Every Day and Now
Every Day and Now. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. A Time of Rain. Labels: Daydreaming in the Night. Friday, July 3, 2015. The gaze of another,. Like July-rinsed sheets,. Scented with warm dusk. And Julep soap, pulling. You down into a quivering. Like the satin tumid with fine. Sadness within a rough-pine. Coffin, a last gesture of hospitality,. Soft as December, bold. As a shameless white night. When trying to fall asleep,. Like the aged unfurled meadows. In the tanned hill countries, tall. The gaze of another.

We were flea-ing once again at the very crowded flea titans @ Dempsey. Like I said, “crowded” is the key word. It was packed like sardines. That’s both good news and bad news for us. Good when there’s tons of people looking through our stuff, bad when we get crowded surfed into an open area. Looked at it, but still no owner. I almost feel like keeping it for myself already.
