Just another WordPress.com weblog. 29 June, 2008. Well am all done here; its been incredibly busy – early mornings to get the weather and late nights doing the de-briefs and overnight analysis. The team are very pleased. We achieved all the objectives set, and more! Its been great to work with sailors in a coaching role again, not done that for a while and I was reminded that I actually know quite a bit! Leaving some stuff here in Germany; wont be needing my sea boots in Qingdao! Enter your comment here.

Ewan’s personal competitive sailing has ranged from the Laser class through to competing at a one event on the America’s Cup class boats. He was Offshore Race Crew Instructor on the Royal Ocean Racing Club training boat and has competed in two Royal Lymington Cups. Ewan is divorced with two grown up daughters and is currently based in North Wales, UK, but travels extensively for his work in sport and management development consultancy.

Monday, 8 September 2008. 1st Daimen Match Race, Berlin, Germany. The club hope it will be the begining of something special - its counter-part the Berlin Match Race will hold its 16th edition this Autumn. This year they plan to have both an ISAF Grade 1 Open event as well as an ISAF Grade 1 Women's event. It will be a joint effort by two of the main clubs on the Wansee, VSaW and the Berlin Yacht Club. Saturday, 23 August 2008. All over in Qingdao, bring it on Beijing! Sparky, the team GB manager, enjoying the post-event atmosphere at the organisers' cocktail party. We then went on to the local stadium for a full-on Closing Ceremony for the Sailing Olympics. Its a privilege to be here to witness it . Weymouth, bring it on. Thursday, 21 August 2008. The show moves on . Still what do I know? What will be the 'equipment' in 2012? We all have to wait till November for the ISAF Annual Meeting to decide....
