Although gedit is one of the most powerful text editors available, there are other sleerker ones as well. Scribes. Is one of them. Its pretty much a really simple text editor. Its quite powerful though but the interface is what wins it for me. Simple and easy to use. Here’s a screenshot:. Scribes can be installed from the Ubuntu Software Center itself.
