It was created in 1548 as a way to protect Tarnopol castle, that now houses a famous restaurant and night Club, Maxim. The lake freezes completely in the winter, so the citizens take some advantage of that. The lake gets full of fishermen, that come with their proper equipment to make a hole on the ice, so they can fish their own food. K Piva in Ukraine.
