I'm going mention something pretty obvious: I'm not a consistent blogger. I'm trying to get better. Kind of. I just need to make it a priority, preserving memories. So here I am, composing a post USING MY PHONE as I sit in bed. Wesley's first word (he's been saying for awhile now) was, "mom." No surprise, right? Well, his second word (that he perfected today)? Clara, Clara, Can't Compare-ya. Adam's grandmother, Clara, passed away this last weekend. We are going to miss her. Isn't it weird when you're grandparents start passing away? Little Piper has already learned how to work the system. In a brainless moment, I decided to make popcorn for our afternoon snack earlier in the week. After I thought about it, I realized that popcorn probably wasn't the safest treat for a toddler. I can't even get through a bag without choking on a piece and getting kernel skin stuck in my gums. What was I to expect from Piper? So, what did I do when she (in the cutest manner ever) signed popcorn and recited "pup-pup" yesterday? Don't yell at them.

Moving On, Moving Up, Just Call Me Weezie. Baring against any major blunders, we will be moving into this beauty next month! We are excited for more rooms, more space, and getting closer to not sharing walls with neighbors. Cheers to Hillsboro and our little patch of grass! Zoo, Tutu, Jam. A little over a week ago, on the day the sun decided to show up, Piper and I went to the Zoo. I knew it was going to be a good afternoon when we pulled right in to a front row parking spot. This was a momentous zoo trip because it was the first time we went without a stroller! The Thayne Gang enjoyed the Labor Day Weekend. Saturday, we had an awesome day with our Gold Friends boating on Henry Hagg. It was my first time wake boarding and surfing and I LOVED IT! I was able to get up but I didn't stay up for long. I did not like, however, the tsunami up my nose and the ultra-wedgie when I crashed. On Monday, we went with Oma and Opa to the zoo. One of the eggs had a piece of soap in it and Piper thought that was a clue that she needed to clean her belly and her armpits. She was hilarious! Running on no naps, she caught a little bit of the late night crazies. As you can see in the pictures, she put on (and wouldn't take off) my dad's hat. What a punk! She also halted the Easter. Egg hunt so she could play the piano. The pictures with her on the piano make her look like a big girl. I can't believe how fast she's growing! Crafted by Evie Wonder.
