Faith and Reason…Together At Last! FirstScope – Review. August 28, 2009. Posted by Treehopper in astronomy. The Celestron FirstScope proves that cheap doesn’t necessarily mean “cheap.”. Then, the e-mail arrived. Amazon issued a $15 off promotional on the scope that had already been knocked down to below the $45 price tag. With this incentive, it brought the price down to below $30. You can’t dangle a carrot in front of a guy like me and not expect me to take a bite out of it! As an educational tool and f...

Faith and Reason…Together At Last! Welcome to Faint Fuzzy! August 2, 2009. Posted by Treehopper in astronomy. Welcome to Faint Fuzzy. It’s my little corner of the interwebz where I can ponder a few of my favorite things: science (namely astronomy), religion (namely Catholic Christianity) and why I feel the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Let me know what you think. Here's Tim as a little Treehopper, hanging on Mom and Dad's hands for a walk in the zoo. Sky and Telescope Magazine. Blog at WordPress.com.

Regarding “Truth” | Faint Fuzzy

https://faintfuzzy.wordpress.com/2009/09/16/regarding-truth

Faith and Reason…Together At Last! Regarding “Truth”. September 16, 2009. Posted by Treehopper in astronomy. Who’s Truth Is It Anyway? Does one side or the other have an exclusive claim to truth? Does a person of faith today have to travel incognito with regard to his religious beliefs or be prepared to take one on the chin by his irreligious peers? At the very end of the August 2009 issue of. In the Focal Point editorial article. Who owns the deed on truth? Who’s Side Are You On? Now geneticists are qui...

Welcome to FaintFuzzies.com

The name of this website was inspired by my passion of observing very faint deep sky objects under dark skies. They appear as Faint Fuzzies even in large telescopes, such as my 22" and 30" reflectors, even in my friend's 48" reflector. Just released for beginner and intermediate observers: Three Herschel observing guides covering about 1,100 objects visible in 6" to 10" telescopes. To get an example of what you can see through a large telescope, check out my Observing Reports.
