Pictured left to right are Phyllis Patterson, Ron Patterson, and Judy Kory. The Piccolo Players. Phyllis Patterson's children's theater group at the very first Renaissance Faire on May 11 and 12, 1963, used the Commedia cart. Ed Mann of Los Angeles built the Cart pictured and plans to help Kevin and Leslie Patterson build a new one!

In 1967, Ronald and Phyllis Patterson founded Theme Events Ltd. to produce their various original events, including the Renaissance Pleasure Faires in northern and southern California, and the Great Dickens Christmas Fair , which was originally held at the old Anchor Works along the San Francisco waterfront, and is now held annually at the Cow Palace. Theme Events also originated The Great American Shindig , the Old California Gold Rush Jubilee and Fiesta , and many other events.
