Sunday, 14 December 2014. St Augustine School photos for the week ending December 13, 2014. Shoring tower being lowered down to Level 1 west at totem area that will support the roof deck forms. Level 1 west has the forms and shoring removed and clean up being done. Lowering electrical switch gear panels that arrived earlier than expected down to basement level. Saturday, 29 August 2015. Oh, so close! Today we had the honour of the presence of four Sisters of St. Ann. Joining us for a "we're almost done" tour of our beautiful, brand new building. The Sisters of St. Ann, upon invitation from our Oblate Fathers, were the founding Religious Order who began our School 105 years ago. It was such a holy time to welcome them' back home' - to have the Sisters standing on the same ground that held our original school. The entrance way on 7th Avenue, facing southeast.

There have been many positive comments about its uniqueness and we are delighted that our new school building's outside is being so well-received. Wednesday, 15 July 2015. Looking west on Arbutus street on the corner of 7th Avenue. Our new entrance on 7th Avenue . 2154 West 7th. Our new west-facing wall .will be visible from the lane to be built there. You can see the unique pattern of bricks clearly from the vantage point as most of this brick has been washed. Friday, 9 January 2015. 2015 - The Year of the New School! My last entry in December showed the preparation for pouring concrete for the roof of our new school, and on December 18, the vast majority of the roof pour was successfully completed. Over the past three weeks, there has been a combination of very wet and dry days - and the final pour of concrete will take place on January 14, 2015. Thank you everyone for your support. Tuesday, 26 August 2014. Being inside the construction site tonight was an opportunity provided by our leadership team and Yellowridge Construction. It is the first time that we had been able to see first hand the breadth and depth of the work that is happening. Also, it was our new pastor's introduction to our project - and to the team that has been leading the project over the past number of years. Keep coming back to the BLOG for updates and more photos.
