Kickball Time! | LOLSaints
http://www.lolsaints.com/saints/2009/kickball-time
The highest rated saints of all time. In the Concert of the Angels, some of our most devoted helpers are seen under God, in Heaven, with some instruments meant for merry-making. While the painting above doesn't depict censers and trumpets, it depicts the fact that God rules over the Heavens and the earth (that big 'ol ball under his left hand), and he probably is pleased by good music! More on the angels. The little angel at the top right looks suspicious. Maybe they won't let him play? Click the beautif...

Displaced East Coaster: February 2011
http://displacedeastcoaster.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 27, 2011. Too bad the drinks are so good. This is a sign posted at a local watering hole. The drinks are good, but the pretentiousness runs a little high for my taste. Every once in a while, however, I want a well-made cocktail, whatever the price. Friday, February 18, 2011. Chicago has been pretty warm the last few days and all of our snow melted! Wednesday, February 9, 2011. 6 Degrees - and I'm not talking separation. 4 It has heated seats! Sunday, February 6, 2011. This is an Oreo (mi...

Displaced East Coaster: Shopping in the shadow
http://displacedeastcoaster.blogspot.com/2012/05/shopping-in-shadow.html
Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Shopping in the shadow. Last weekend was my birthday, or close enough, so we decided to take a day trip to a favorite brewpub followed by some outlet shopping. Which made me wonder, why are so many outlet malls built in the shadow of a nuclear plant? May 2, 2012 at 7:52 PM. Reminds me of The Simpsons theme. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Displaced East Coaster: One year later ... Update on the rats
http://displacedeastcoaster.blogspot.com/2012/05/one-year-later-update-on-rats.html
Tuesday, May 1, 2012. One year later . Update on the rats. So, it turns out that the City of Chicago IS still interested in controlling the rat population. Turns out they have at least three coyotes that they turn loose in the loop after dark to hunt rats. These big cats have gps devices so they can be tracked and gathered up before the hard-working Chicagoans become coyote breakfast. I wonder whether if either of my coyote sightings have been city employees? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Displaced East Coaster: Metrolius Blonde Ale
http://displacedeastcoaster.blogspot.com/2012/07/metrolius-blonde-ale.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. This is the first beer I tried from this brewery - a brewery from Rochester, NY. It poured with a thin head, lots of carbonation and had some honey smell on the nose. This was not a bad blonde, but the label was a little better than the beer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Ales and Lagers I Have Tasted in My Travels. Displaced East Coaster: July 2012
http://displacedeastcoaster.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. This is a chocolatey porter from Central Waters in Michigan. The label says it pours with a thick head, but I did not get one when I poured it. It has a chocolatey nose and a smell Ive come to associate with a high abv, but the label does not list that info. Its dark as mud with an imperial taste and a slight coffee finish. One per night is probably enough. Grand Teton Sweetgrass APA. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Ales and Lagers I Have Tasted in My Travels.

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Friday, March 25, 2011. View from the 23rd floor. I went to court this morning to pick up an order in one of my cases. The courtroom is on the 23rd floor. Displaced East Coaster: December 2010
http://displacedeastcoaster.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. No trip to Philadelphia is complete without a visit to see Rocky and a run up the steps of the Art Museum. The blue and yellow flag is the flag of Philadelphia. Its sort of cool, but not as cool as the flag for Chicago. Point Chicago. Philly 8; Chicago 4. Monday, December 13, 2010. She would run ahead of me then race back to me, so it was like she was running twice the distance! Philly 8; Chicago 3. One of my favorite places in Philly is Reading T...

Displaced East Coaster: November 2010
http://displacedeastcoaster.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 24, 2010. This is a giant piece of what we used to call quad art, a derogatory term we used in college for the wacky sculptures that adorned any open space between the buildings on campus. This clothespin is right across from city hall in Philadelphia. I have no idea why this is here. Its just my opinion, but this isnt art; its more like a piece of trash from some giant aliens. Saturday, November 20, 2010. I know this is a funny picture. Philly 6; Chicago 3. The Trust Deli, of course!
