In late September we took our last dip in the lake with Michelle, Jeff and Ginger on our boat. We left Elizabeth behind with Nana and Poppy because she just can't stand her life jacket for very long, so doesn't enjoy long boat outings. I'm sure next summer she'll be old enough that it won't be a problem. Go, Captain Michelle! Isn't Adam a cutie?

Ava started her first day of kindergarten on August 24 at our great neighborhood elementary school! Here, she and Daddy are walking up the sidewalk toward the school. This is Ava's sweet teacher, Mrs. A. We just adore her teacher who is a perfect blend of structure and gentleness. Ava really likes her too! Alex, Matthew and Ryan.

Some of you may recall that I didn't get Ava's hair cut for the first time until she was THREE years old. That's right. Too long. Anyway, I decided not to make that mistake twice and took Elizabeth to get her haircut at 18 months. She wasn't a fan. So I switched tactics to giving her snacks. That seemed to work better. 160;It was DARK brown the day she was born.

A bit overwhelming, yes, but we are so blessed and excited as well. congrats from lynchs! Chasity (we have a 4 year old and 15 month old, both boys).

Boy, do I feel like the luckiest Mommy in the world! 160;Adam and the girls woke me with breakfast in bed Sunday morning! 160;I got a sweet card and a beautiful necklace from www.Etsy.com (my favorite online store). We took these pics of our family in our backyard. Here are just the girls and me. I simply cannot believe how big they are getting!
