The Oliver's Madhouse. When Life Isn't Complicated Enough. Laquo; Creative Corner – Feisty Sue. Ranty Friday Some Companies. The Oliver’s Reasons to Be Cheerful. This is the first time I have joined in this fantastic linky and after recent up’s and down’s I thought it was about time we looked at the reasons we should be cheerful. 2) The Hubby (Ollie) and I are hatching a plan of an adult outing to the pictures to spend some quality time together, If we are lucky we may even get to eat out too! 17/02/2013...

The Oliver's Madhouse. When Life Isn't Complicated Enough. Laquo; Silent Sunday. Fun At The Farm Shop. Last week in my wisdom I decided to batch cook for this weeks tea, however without half the ingredients Joshua and I hot footed it to our local farm shop. On arriving and getting to the first counter Joshua had spotted an assistant who he took a shine too. If I am honest I think he fell in love! The photo above is one of the smiles he gave her while she was putting together our cheese order! He is VERY ...

Neat stuff I find and make… Just for fun. October 24, 2013. One of my new supervisees’ grandfather is really ill and not expected to make it. I made this card, thinking of her, but knowing that if he did make come-back I could keep it for another such occasion. The theme at the Twist of Faith Cards challenge this month is “Harvest”, and that just seemed to fit really well sympathy card ( http:/ twistoffaithcards.blogspot.com.au/2013/10/challenge-60-harvest.html. Posted in for a challenge. Top 3, Baby!

Neat stuff I find and make… Just for fun. October 22, 2013. Quick Tip Tuesday: Spice up your gift wrapping. Also, you don’t have to wrap every part of the gift. I made a nice little arrangement, with a couple wrapped gifts and the card, and some extra gifts (that would have been hard to wrap or taken a lot of extra paper. And incorporating something unexpected in your wrapping, like the palm branch from a recent Palm Sunday, is really the icing on the cake. Cheap and Green Ways to Wrap Gifts. Top 3, Baby!

Mother Inferior: failures in mothering. Her hair, her hair falls perfectly without her trying’ or possibly not. Having children brings with it lots of new challenges some of which I rise to readily and some. Many of which fall way beyond my zone of comfort and creativity. Amongst the list of parenting jobs I am not much cop at comes the complicated, time-consuming and frankly pointless task of doing my children’s hair. If I can finish plaiting without a) having to start again 3 times because Faith has mo...

Mother Inferior: failures in mothering. Le-go of the stress. Need an activity to calm those rushing thoughts and quell the thoughts of thousand and one things currently bouncing through your mind? Take my advice and raid the kids’ rooms for the perfect solution to a turbulent mind:. I find that anything ranging from between 50 and 200 pieces requires a bit of effort and concentration and, as such, manages to fully absorb you in the task at hand for a few peaceful minutes. But colouring in – that lo...

Mother Inferior: failures in mothering. Smells like ‘tween’ spirit. As I was taking my girls up to bed this evening, Faith’s eyes alighted on the homemade perfume we bought from a neighbour’s children as they carried out door-to-door sales on the day after Boxing Day. So far Ana has showed very little interest in the perfume collection, but Faith always one to sniff out (excuse the pun! And only last week I was forced to confiscate her Hello Kitty perfume when I discovered her spraying it all over the wa...
