April 30, 2013. 8220;I want a barbecue! 8221; I declared to the Boy Sunday just gone, fair enough it wasn’t sunny, but it wasn’t raining and when you live in Manchester when it is not raining you try and get out as much as possible! Since moving to Manchester 6 years ago I am sure I have shrunk as I am always drenched from all the lovely weather! I can not describe how excited I was I adore barbecued food and the whole process of cooking outdoors.

You often hear people say that mums are fine tuned to hear their baby cry at night, and that a mama will always wake. In my experience this is true. My husband doesn’t even flinch when our baby cries at night, yet I wake up immediately. I guess that’s her motherly instincts. We have an owl living in our garden! Since when did owls live in the middle of cities? Yet my husband still sleeps through all the commotion!

August 5, 2015. 1) Sleep is a big fat luxury that I have written off for the next 5 years (at least). 2) Daddy loves sleep (lucky him). 3) Showers lasting over five minutes are also a luxury and I can no longer shower without thinking I can hear my baby crying the whole time. 4) Breakfast is also a real treat. Gone are the days were I would brunch at leisure. 5) I need a holiday (with baby of course).

Friday, June 28, 2013. Glamour Girl.in Glasses! She looks so grown up. We'll get them in a couple of weeks. To start out, she'll only need to wear them for reading, writing, school work, computer, etc. That will be nice not to have to worry about them when she's playing or swimming. She'll be reevaluated in October and we'll see if she has to move to full-time then.
