Far Away Journal: Getting Ready!
http://farawaywaterdog.blogspot.com/2010/07/getting-ready.html
Monday, July 19, 2010. Hello Far Away Friends and expecting families:. Yes, in only about two weeks, there are seven families who will add a Far Away Water Dog to their household! The pups will be 10 weeks old at that point. Here are a few ideas of things to consider about your supplies to have ready. Crate: at least one, perhaps two, wire crates are what I use. An example of one is made by Mid West and is called a Life Stages crate. Size? Is a good source for books as is Dog Wise.

Far Away Journal: Finally a Far Away Update
http://farawaywaterdog.blogspot.com/2010/07/finally-far-away-update.html
Friday, July 9, 2010. Finally a Far Away Update. Hello from Far Away where we have been offline for toooo long. Apologies from us, but we are busy here on the island. Summer is in full swing, all seven pups are now swimmers in Sesachacha Pond! The pups have now played with children from three months to teenage years, walked on eight different types of surfaces and learned to follow the leader! Thank goodness for my patient and kind neighbors who tolerate seven squeaking puppies first thing in the morning).

Far Away Journal: Almost 4 weeks
http://farawaywaterdog.blogspot.com/2010/06/almost-4-weeks.html
Saturday, June 19, 2010. I watch motor skills develop over a day now. The seven pups are moving better, they appear almost sober, in fact! I can feel teeth close to their gums. They interact and woof, trill, growl and even a few real barks! Careful what I wish for.as I am sure soon enough I will miss their quiet trills and woofs. Harry, Hestia's brother, comes to join us for our pond swims. He loves the water, loves to retrieve his bumper and loves to jump from the platform. At the present, Harry...CH Ro...

Far Away Journal: Puppy Updates
http://farawaywaterdog.blogspot.com/2010/08/puppy-updates.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. How are your puppies? Some of you have stars in your home now. I know of several sleepless first nights with pup's feeling disoriented and a bit uncertain. I also know that each day gets easier as routine is established in the new home. These guys are really growing and this fabulous and fresh quality food gives them a leg up. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I love hearing how the pups are doing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Far Away Journal: Play time
http://farawaywaterdog.blogspot.com/2010/06/play-time.html
Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Play time has begun. Motor skill development is now changing on an hourly basis. The pups are moving around, batting one another with their front paws and mouthing anything they find! No teeth yet, thank goodness for Mini, but soon. Tails are wagging, sight is improving and they are fat fat fat. With a little more leg, these pups are going to be trouble! Help is on the way Miss Mini. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Far Away Journal: Play time
http://farawaywaterdog.blogspot.com/2010/06/play-time_23.html
Wednesday, June 23, 2010. With all of our new motor skills, play time is now loads of fun! We bat our front paws, we gnaw, we pounce, we grunt like baby pigs, squeal and even woof! We wag our tails, we climb on our mum, each other and our toys. We walk on grass, bricks, carpet, concrete, mulch and wood. That is six surfaces in our short four weeks of life so far! Nursing is still our favorite. Thanks for checking on us. We will keep up the play time and tell you more stories soon. Woof woof!
