The Mis-Adventures of A Modern Day Farmer's Wife

Thursday, April 7, 2011. It's funny how the blog post screen is not truly white. It's kinda swirly grayish white. I loved clean white crisp paper pages in my journals. I used to write so much when I was younger. I wrote about the stupidest, most moronic things. But they were journal worthy to me! That is why I MUST keep writing. I don't want to forget these days! Will we my happy posting/journaling days ever come back? I'm wore out from worry! Harvested by Mrs. Farmer. 2 seeds of thought. That was my fin...

The Mis-Adventures of A Modern Day Farmer's Wife: March 2011

http://farmerswife06.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 26, 2011. I figure if I post the pictures and talk about my projects maybe I will get more projects done. In other words you all need to hold me accountable! That was Mrs. Farmer. You know what I mean? Now all I had to do was hunt down some cool wrought iron pieces. By the side door on this porch I have s really cool sign that spins on a arm. One side says: "Welcome" and the other side says: "Go Away." How perfect right? My diamond in the rough! My piece with Pissy Missy. I didn't like th...

The Mis-Adventures of A Modern Day Farmer's Wife: October 2010

http://farmerswife06.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 11, 2010. Halloween is starting early this year! The Crimson Quill book club is holding the October meeting tonight! And we are all dressing up! How fun does that sound? I'm super excited about dressing up. For the last few weeks I had planned on going as Hippie but then one of the girls thought we should dress up as characters from the books we have read over the last year. Is that not a great idea? I won't tell you all who I have chosen cause I don't know who all is reading today! Let m...

The Mis-Adventures of A Modern Day Farmer's Wife: April 2010

http://farmerswife06.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 29, 2010. What if I can't give my husband an heir. I know this isn't Mid-evil times. This is not the year 1510! Do you ask, am I'm acting like it is? Let me explain my madness. What if I can't give a child to my husband? This thought keeps me up at night. I'm the first wife in this long line of Farmer women who could not produce an heir. If this was the year 1510 I could be beheaded for not producing an heir! What if. We turn 70 and we have no children? Please go over to Mels. I think tha...

So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. As I am nearing the completion of my PhD at Purdue University, I find that I am in need of something new to do. I have been working through Dan Miller’s. 48 Days to the Work You Love. And No More Mondays. To learn some more about myself, what I want to do when I grow up, and how to make that happen. To that end, Miller Mondays! On Mondays, I go through a section of the book, and talk about the processes and some of what I have learned. Is all change good?

So much to do, so little time. What I’m Reading. Taste of Indiana Farms. One of the fun things I got to do at the Indiana State Fair. In August was to run the Farm Bureau. Taste of Indiana Farms booth for the southwest part of Indiana. Each part of the state ( districts, in Farm Bureau talk) had a commodity to feature. We had pork. Yum! I worked with Dewig’s Meats. There was free popcorn in the front of the building, and lots more free food in the back of the building. Did I mention that Indiana Pork.

The Farmer's Wife and the Preacher's Husband

The Farmer's Wife and the Preacher's Husband. Most of the time, I'm convinced we are God's comic relief or at the very least.a riddle. Saturday, September 12, 2015. More than a break! I need to start writing again. So, I'm starting here. On my forgotten blog. I have missed writing, but also know why I haven't. Sometimes when you write things down, you have to deal with them. I truthfully like to wallow away without admitting things are wrong for as long as possible. I guess that answers why I haven't writ...

The recipe is from a church member, Arlyce Holland. It’s really easy and really good! 1 pound hamburger or ground turkey, browned and drained. The farme...

the FARMER'S wife

Oh hey, friday top 5 posts from 2016. Wellll. apparently I have been so out of this whole blogging world that I forgot it was even Friday. I guess the new nightly routine of staying up late watching movies and eating popcorn with my farmer is really hindering any sort of normal routine. And I am totally ok with that. I have quite a bit of material coming atcha. Maybe next week I will slow down on the popcorn consumption enough to tell you about our Christmas vacation. 1 bennett zane - a birth story.

Picture taking, crafting, sewing, couponing,re purposing, baking, living my life for Him, stay at home mom of 3. Sunday, January 29, 2012. The days keep passing, each one, a day further away from the last time I saw mom, spoke with her, held her hand, whispered " I love you". It still seems like yesterday in some ways, and in others, a eternity has passed since we were together. A friend asked me the other day what I spoke of with her the last time we talked.
