Russ' Hunting and Fishing Blog. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Then I hooked into a Big Barracuda, which also bit through my line, and finally I hooked into a large Travelly which also swam away with a Rapala in its lip. I now have purchased some stronger line, maybe I can get some proof next time of the big one! Here's a few photo's of the fish I caught on Asu. Labels: Indonesia - Asu. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Russ' Hunting and Fishing Blog. Saturday, March 29, 2008. Here are a bunch of critters that we've found in our house:. A small snake (yes it's head is cut off). Several HUGE spiders. We actually found a tarantula in our bathroom and "disposed" of it. Also on the list are rats, mice, and other huge crazy insects! If anyone wants to ship us a bug zapper it would be appreciated. Russ' Hunting and Fishing Blog: MOALE BEACH
http://russlikestohuntandfish.blogspot.com/2008/06/moale-beach.html
Russ' Hunting and Fishing Blog. Monday, June 2, 2008. I love the fact that Indonesia gives national holidays for each of the country's religions: Hindu, Moslem, and Christian. It essesntially means that we get at least one day off a month, which allows us to do things we love.like fishin'! A few weeks ago there was a Hindu holiday so we all went down to Moale Beach on a Tuesday morning! I was able to get some spearfishing in because the water was clear, and managed to get three fish! Hope they tasted good.

http://russlikestohuntandfish.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Russ' Hunting and Fishing Blog. Wednesday, July 18, 2007. THERE'S A SNAKE IN MY BOOTS. We haven't seen a lot of snakes in Indonesia with the exception of a few dead ones on the road. In Aceh. I saw an honest 6' foot python road killed. And a few smaller species; but this week we have had two encounters. On Sunday night some of our local staff were sitting outside talking when suddenly a snake decided to interrupt. Their party and inspect our footwear. Hesti. One of the watsan. Any cobras on Nias. I'm a C...

http://russlikestohuntandfish.blogspot.com/2008/01/back-in-canada.html
Russ' Hunting and Fishing Blog. Thursday, January 10, 2008. Well it was nice to have a Canadian Christmas, I don't think Indonesians know what a real Christmas tree looks like, and they definitely. Don't have turkey dinners! It was a great time to catch up with family and friends. The boyz. Getaway was a lot of fun, and it was great to hang out with my Buddy's. That used to be islanders.I can still say I'm an islander, but now I'm just on a different island. When we got back to Abbotsford. And the kids a...
