Hello. | i'm bursting at the skin
https://burstingattheskin.wordpress.com/about
I'm bursting at the skin. How many calories in an ounce of my flesh or a pint of my blood? So you want me to talk about myself now? A 20 yr old female. Morbidly obese and autoerotic. Withdrew from my pretentious liberal arts college. Tried to join the circus. Tried to join a commune. I haven’t eaten in days. One day I’ll be okay. I have to keep writing If I ever hope to see it. September 10, 2008. Real quick: one last thing. Filed under: fat acceptance. 8212; worthyourweight @ 10:19 pm. If you’ve seen this already or if something similar has been discussed in the Fatosphere recently, forgive me. But this is what I was trying to get at in my last post. Replace “feminist” with “fat acceptor.”. We need our own Big Tent. The idea is to create a place where we can join forces on the many issues that unite us, instead of remaining always divided by the issues that separate us. The Fa...

I agree with Lindsay of BABble. Blogrolls tend to be political. That makes me uncomfortable. So if you’d like to be on my blogroll, please comment or email. And let me know. I’ll be happy to add you. I would prefer fat acceptance blogs only, and it would be great if your blog is no diet/WLS talk. 10 Comments ». I’d love to be added to your blogroll, I love your writing and whole outlook on weight! Keep up the great work! 8212; July 27, 2008 @ 12:32 am. Thank you, dragonfly! Welcome to my blogroll. Enter ...

March 29, 2010. My muffin top runneth over. Filed under: fat acceptance. 8212; worthyourweight @ 6:01 pm. I’ve always had an antagonistic relationship with my belly shape. It protrudes over the top of my waistband — and below! I’m seeing more and more bellies like this one…and mine. I’ve started to think this is nothing more than a natural variation in shape. One of my favorite paintings is the. Now imagine a fat Venus. I think her stomach would end up looking like mine! Drop me a line. Fat ain't bad.

Housekeeping | Worth Your Weight
https://worthyourweight.wordpress.com/about/housekeeping
The Fat Liberation feed owner, Big Liberty, removed my blog from the feed without warning because of the post I made July 18, 2008. Ultimately, the reason my blog was taken off the feed is because, in her opinion, I did not zealously enough challenge the critical comments on said post. I don’t agree with how and why I was removed from the feed. However, I am OK with being off of it. I truly do not want to be on the feed after the way this situation was handled. Now, BL knows I was not trolling and has si...

LOLfat 5 | Worth Your Weight

January 6, 2009. Filed under: fat acceptance. 8212; worthyourweight @ 2:35 am. In this case, LOL stands for living out loud and getting the last laugh. LOLfats attempt to reclaim our decapitated (or, in this case, faceless) images. The caption is my FA take on an old dieting/pro-ana canard (“Nothing tastes as good as thin feels”). Thank you for starting my day out right! Comment by O.C. 8212; January 6, 2009 @ 8:12 am. 8212; January 6, 2009 @ 8:14 am. 8212; January 6, 2009 @ 2:50 pm. I love this one!

October 15, 2008. The gift of fat acceptance. Filed under: fat acceptance. 8212; worthyourweight @ 11:48 pm. My own FA progress is coming along nicely. Not perfect by any means. I still have at least one “I hate being fat” moment a day. Yet, resisting the urge/imperative to diet is getting easier. I actually shudder to think if I’d never stumbled across FA. But I wish I had done so earlier, like back in college or even high school. Here’s something that sounds completely bonkers. My school frie...Go for ...

February 23, 2009. Fill ‘er up. Filed under: fat acceptance. 8212; worthyourweight @ 8:23 pm. If you’ve spent any time at all in a dieting environment — professional or amateur — you’ve definitely heard that “food is fuel.” It is not entertainment, damn it! This strikes me as just as dreary as the idea that sex is solely for procreation. Heck, even the Catholic Church allows another reason for sex: to strengthen the bond between wife and husband. I don’t think the human body is designed to ever bur...

Touchstones | Worth Your Weight
https://worthyourweight.wordpress.com/touchstones
Whenever I feel adrift in the fat acceptance community and tempted to go to war against my body, these are the points I return to and that keep me anchored:. Fat people eat the same amount as thin people do. This is a fairly radical idea, but well documented in Gina Kolata’s. Junkfood Science talks about it, too. My mind often comes back to the woman who performed a size zero diet experiment. Fat people are not fat because they under-exercise. Puts the figure at four to seven. Fat does not equal unfit.
