Penne is ridged tube shaped pasta, and mostaccioli is smooth tube shaped pasta. actually, in Italy, mostaccioli is called "penne lisce" (lisce meaning smooth), and penne is called "penne rigate" (rigate meaning ridged). 2 tablespoons olive oil. 3 cups chopped tomatoes.
