What My Dad Saw: February 2013
http://whatmydadsaw.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Feb 7, 2013. This is our living room on a typical night in the 1980's. I am on the couch to the left. Looks like I am diligently reading the paper like a young adult but I am sure I am just reading the comics section. I didn't even like most of the comics but I always read them just in case they might grow on me. Alley Oop almost did once but it didn't take. Garfield did. Dad is in the white T-shirt looking cool. Maybe Brett and I were grounded and had to stay in with Dad? Don't blow your engine though!

Dec 23, 2011. Friday, December 23, 2011. Links to this post. Dec 16, 2011. All the males in my family revived long handle underwear for Christmas back 87? I think I will submit this to Awkward Family Photos. Friday, December 16, 2011. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Why did you name it that? My Dad liked photography as a hobby and his family made for interesting subjects to capture on film or should I say slides. The rear view mirror header I think summes it up well. Apr 30, 2012. Uncle Joe and Aunt Betty: Auction. This weekend was the first of three estate auctions for my Aunt and Uncle. They had a really good turn out! You can spot my cousin in the middle as he watches the bidding begin. My wife and daughter Megan went with me as well as my Mother in law. Megan help me document the day. Megan was also proud to go to her first auction and get a number. Megan spotted some recipes boxes early on. Sadly she was out bid on these. These were some hooks made from sticks.

What My Dad Saw: Our House 1989
http://whatmydadsaw.blogspot.com/2013/03/our-house-1989.html
Mar 12, 2013. The yard looks nothing like this today. I can remember planting all these trees as saplings. As we would dig the holes and water the little trees Dad would try to get us to imagine our kids playing in a forest of a front yard. I would try to imagine it and I can remember being a little jealous because they would enjoy climbing in trees that I could, would a did run over with the lawn mower. Now all but one of my kids are married and I did enjoy my kids playing in these trees. Me and Mom 1979.

Aug 31, 2011. In 1979 Indian Creek hosted a donkey basketball night. That is my Mom, Emmalea, in the picture above. I remember the posters in the school that advertised the event the donkey's name my Mom was supposed to ride that night was Rigamortis. The donkeys were trained to run and stop all of a sudden. Then the donkey would lower it's head and make a slide for the rider to exit the donkey's back. Pretty fun night for those of us watching. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Links to this post.
