The faithfulness of God in Wheaton. August 23, 2008. December 8, 2014. The most wonderful time. We have the joy of being with our families for the holidays this year. Here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks in Arizona. We head to California tomorrow. Helping Aflac with his science grading. When our plans to go to the zoo were cancelled by rain, we built a fort instead. When we did get to the zoo, we got to ride a “train,” much to David’s delight. Looking at the Nativity with cousin Monty.

The faithfulness of God in Wheaton. August 23, 2008. November 19, 2014. Karen and Vadim are on the right. Yet Jesus came that we should receive. He reached out to all kinds of women, whether stigmatized by sin, ostracized by illness, or simply isolated by their own self-righteousness. Engaging them in conversation, healing them, and even gently rebuking them, he loved them in his lifetime, served them in his death, and gave them hope in his resurrection. Laquo; {SD4Ms}: Michele. The faithfulness of God in Wheaton. August 23, 2008. November 1, 2014. We saw snow flurries this morning, the last day of October. So I decided it was a good morning to give David his first cup of hot cocoa. Tasting. (He drank it off the spoon as much as he picked up the mug.). And, just for fun, here’s a few pictures I found on the camera today, taken by the boy. Austin and I were cracking up when we found them. Self-portrait 2. (Please laugh. This one is ridiculous.). The faithfulness of God in Wheaton. August 23, 2008. December 2, 2014. Annie with her family (and ours). Annie and I met shortly. Often a nap is more important than devotions in this season. Your job is to serve God’s people (i.e., your family), and you need the physical energy to serve well. Begin a gratitude list in a notebook, on a chalkboard, or somewhere where you and the kids (eventually) can stop and be thankful throughout the day. Find a women’s Bible study with childcare. This connection wit...

You can learn more about their ministry here. I am grateful for the friends and mentors Christ has put into my life to give me a vision for what godly motherhood can look like. If you don’t already have one such person, pray for one. Here are some the things I have learned from such women. Keep on Keeping On (Regular Habits):. And I need ...

The faithfulness of God in Wheaton. August 23, 2008. October 29, 2014. Monica and her family. An entrepreneur, and a compassionate, honest, and caring friend. While I still strive to work on incorporating disciplines into our family life, I can honestly say my spirit is more nourished now than it was in high school. I crave Jesus more now than any other time in my life, and I see him teaching me to die to myself daily. For a perfectionist like me, not. Laquo; {SD4Ms}: Carmen. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

The faithfulness of God in Wheaton. August 23, 2008. December 18, 2014. Lisa and her family. I’m trying to remember when I met Lisa. It may have been when I visited Tacoma when Austin and I were dating. We got to know each other more after she married one of Austin’s best friends from seminary. They even visited us in Chicago a couple of years ago, which was a great treat! Lisa, Matt, and their two boys live in Washington State. Since I graduated from seminary, even before I was a mother, I struggled to ...
