lemons & waltzes: January 2015
http://lemonsandwaltzes.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
It's been awhile. Enough time that I actually forgot my blog login credentials. But with this new year I thought I'd share some shots of my first weekend of 2015. My body was a bit fried from the holidays, so CB and I decided to partake in what the Japanese call Shinrin-Yoku. Or "forest bathing."AKA nature time in my local mountains. Forest bathing is linked to increased cerebral blood flow, immune defense, and improved mental health. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A CUP OF JO.

Honeymoon - part II. Some shots from our 3 days in Fire Island over 4th of July. So in love with that place. Would be fantastico to go back with some friends.heaven! Since there are no cars, everyone uses bikes and wagons for transporting people and things. :). The main town on Fire Island, Ocean Beach, had a cute, down-home July 4th parade. Walking around Point O'Woods. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A CUP OF JO. An American in Rome. Peckman. Peachum. Peckham. Word of Wisdom Living.

lemons & waltzes: June 2011

When life gets busy, it's easy to neglect our creative selves in favor of practical, day to day tasks. But in doing so, we're starving our brains of the free-form time it needs to. Effectively process and integrate information. In more fluffy terms, art helps frame our understanding of the world and subsequently gives our lives meaning. So let's make more time for fun. :) I totally broke my own rule here by not going to dance class tonight, but I did do some creative writing, which should count!
