有機種植社群 (以下簡稱 社群 ) 是指一群於彼此相鄰近的範圍進行有機耕作的人組成的一個組織，採用相同的方法耕作， 又有共同的管理模式及市場營銷系統. 社群辦公室作為社群的內部管理系統， 透過互助、 培訓及監察等方法， 協助社群內每一農戶的生產符合有關認証機構的標準並獲得認証， 從而保障農戶及消費都的利益。 社群由社群辦公室來管理其日常事務，其工作主要分為: 文件管理、 例行探訪、 培訓、 技術支援、 監督及推廣有機耕作。 另外， 農民、漁護署與社群辦公室共同擬定一個農作物生產計劃, 以配合市場需要。 此外， 有機種植社群辦公室 亦會開拓以社區為本的推廣及市場策略， 以社區形式支持 有機種植社群 ， 將有機耕作帶到香港各社區， 從而推動有機耕作的發展。 菜聯社為配合漁護署的 有機耕作轉型計劃 ，成立了 有機種植社群辦公室 (簡稱 社群辦公室 ) -一個為有機種植社群的內部管理系統，處理有關有機認証的事務， 並培訓農民有機耕作的概念，開拓以社區為本的推廣及市場策略，以推動有機耕作的發展。

現在的大埔，古稱 大步 ，因古時大埔是一個大森林，人跡罕至，路過的人都 大步 而過，故得此名。 大埔漸發展成一交通要道和優良的漁港，來往經商的人很多，區內分別先後建立了大埔墟 今天后宮一帶又稱大埔舊墟 和太和市 現稱大埔墟即文武廟一帶。 每逢墟期，大批的農產品都齊集於大埔批發或零售，參與買賣的商人和市民都很多，場面十分熱鬧 而 趁墟 就是形容村民紛紛去墟市買賣的熱鬧情況。 大埔農墟的現址是大埔蔬菜產銷合作社 簡稱大埔菜站，一九五一年成立 所有，墟前的空地 現為政府合署停車場 有一塊石碑，碑上顯示該位置原為 七約農產品擺賣場。

材料:椰菜,免治豬肉,冬菇粒各適量. 芡汁:鮑魚汁,水,生粉. 做法:1.免治豬肉及冬菇用鹽,雞粉,豉油,麻油,胡椒粉,生粉拌勻備用. 2.椰菜用滾水灼軟後過冷河備用. 3.取適量餡包入椰菜內大火蒸10分鐘,煮滾芡汁淋上即可. 材料: 白菜、菜乾、陳腎、南北杏、蜜棗、無花果、豬骨、陳皮 方法: 先將陳腎、菜乾浸2小時 清洗陳腎然後汆水 將所有材料(白菜除外)煲1-3小時 最後加入新鮮白菜 功效: 止咳.
