PERSUADE

The PERSUADE project is testing the poroelastic road surface on trafficked roads. PERSUADE has been scheduled for a duration of six years and an overall budget of 4.5 million €. Twelve partners from seven European countries are cooperating in this project, including research institutes, universities and companies representing the sectors of industry involved. Test track in Kalvehave, Denmark, built in June 2014 (length 75 m). Test track in Herzele, Belgium, built in September 2014 (length 40 m).

DIsmantling and RECycling Techniques for road MATerials – sharing knowledge and practices. DIRECT-MAT is a Coordination and Support Action under the EC 7. The project addresses the dismantling and recycling or safe disposal of unbound, hydraulically bound and asphalt road materials. It also addresses other materials related to road use but not commonly recycled in road construction. The Bitumen Test Validation (BiTVal) project was set up by FEHRL in response to a request from TC 336, Bitumen and bituminous binders, of the Comité Européen de Normalisation together with other stakeholders in the industry to assess the relevance of the results of bitumen tests on the required properties of asphalt mixtures.
