A walk with Gerry and Bob - Saturday 29th Jan 2011. Area: Leck, Yorkshire Dales - Distance: 15km / 9.5miles - Total Ascent: 537metres / 1760ft. Approx. Start / Finish: Small parking area near Leck Fell House - GR: SD 67462 79015. I should know, I slipped and gashed my leg midway down! A few hundred metres before we reach Ease Gill Kirk a path climbs to the left through some boulders then follows a wall up through the pastures of Leck Fell to return to the small parking area. Friday, 21 February 2014. He's going to be off again soon. The Fellwalker is counting down the days till we go back to the Lakes at the beginning of March - he announced it was 11 sleeps the other night! His boots are dead (see photo). He reckons they lasted about 18 months. Apparently the new ones (Zamberlan) are ultralight, so we'll see how far he gets in them. Wonder if they have a tracking device!
