Throwback Thursday and Thank you! - Teasel's Knit Country
http://knitcountry.weebly.com/blog/throwback-thursday-and-thank-you
Living Creatively One Handmade Day at a Time. Fiber Festivals and Events. Throwback Thursday and Thank you! First, the thank you. Although there weren't many comments posted to the blog, I did receive an incredible amount of truly useful input on repair solutions for my great grandfather's sweater. Knitters, you are amazing people. Thank you for the generosity of the time you spent thinking about this sweater, and offering what you could for its preservation. I received an offer to do. It's nice to put a...

With Gratitude | Knit Country

A blog about crafting, cooking and community. September 22, 2014. My friend, Janine, has given me a gift worth more than gold, rare minerals or gems. She has given her time to preserve the memory of a person most special to me, through the repair of a very old and valued sweater. You can read about the sweater here: http:/ knitcountry.weebly.com/blog/help-vintage-sweater-repair-advice-needed. It’s my previous blog site). How do you thank someone enough for a gift like that? Good day for knitting. Enter y...

Archives for June 2014. On (Not) Getting It All Done. June 24, 2014. I’ve been beating myself up lately. I figured I’d just do it here publicly because you know what? So here I go. . I’ve been beating myself up for not getting enough work done. . Yes, I work all the time, both at the day job and the writing job. But I still–always–have more to do, and worse: more that I. It’s like meditation. You’re here now. (No. Hi. *waggles fingers* I’m talking to. Let’s hang out like this more often.). And more: its ...

MaggieB Knits: November 2007
http://maggiebknits.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 30, 2007. Here is my second son, on the back deck modelling what he terms the best sweater in the house. That's nice to hear! It is not yet blocked. Here is a (sideways) closeup of the cable up the center front. It is one that seems to have become my favorite (it has been somewhere on my last 5 cabled items, if that gives you a clue! It is called "Four Rib Braid" and is, I believe, in Barbara Walker's Second Treasury. This shows the roll neck and front a bit better. Well, this was a Spec...

MaggieB Knits: Knitting Progress!
http://maggiebknits.blogspot.com/2008/09/knitting-progress.html
Monday, September 22, 2008. I did some work on the Hanne Flakenberg Plisse jacket on Sunday:. This is the back, or part of it. The texture stitch and the intriguing method of construction keep this project interesting. All for now. But at least I got a bit of knitting done. Progress is Good. Have been loving your vacation trip, too. Oh, and I promise no more forgotten high school French in comments! September 22, 2008 at 9:16 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And She Knits Too! Off the wagon again?
