FiberArts Afloat, a misnomer

http://fiberartsafloat.blogspot.com/2014/09/surprise-im-back-again.html

Wednesday, September 10, 2014. I'm back again. Like the bad penny that occasionally shows up in your blog feed. Life happens, and the wardrobe planning project didn't get past the planning stage. So now I'm in wardrobe crisis. Will write more on that later, as well as update you on my new digs, and some actual Sewing. Meanwhile, we all love Pinterest right? I've come across the cutest Pin this AM, and am loving the little dumplings. Problem is, the whole site it came from is written in Chinese? Ottobre 0...

FiberArts Afloat, a misnomer: February 2011

http://fiberartsafloat.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 08, 2011. A return to blogging. Just thought I'd throw it out there that I intend to return to blogging about life on a boat, and fiberarts while afloat. There has been quite a bit of knitting, some needlepoint, and little sewing going on since we launched back in May. We've come almost 2500 nautical miles since we left our home port of Holland, Michigan on Lake Michigan. It's been an adventure. When in Marathon I intend to get online and begin a new blog on TypePad. Why Typepad? Needle...

FiberArts Afloat, a misnomer: February 2014

http://fiberartsafloat.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 03, 2014. A bit of a print - wardrobe sewing. I've been working on the Wardrobe Challenge 2014 and the Wardrobe Architect exercises simultaneously, so I'm getting them sort of. Merged in my head. It is helping though to affirm in my mind what I want to make, and to help me keep in mind that I'm sewing for the life I have, not that other one. (Thanks Melodye). Some of the boards I've put together - these are idea boards, not pattern and fabric selection boards. I have great aspirations.

FiberArts Afloat, a misnomer: April 2010

http://fiberartsafloat.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 11, 2010. The shoulder/back/neck continue to heal, albeit more slowly than I’d like. And I’m still a bit in shock over the quickness of the move, and all that I had to pack/store/divest of. It seems that for awhile there all I did was pack up and give away boxes and boxes of my textile treasures. So imagine my delight when I received a package here at the lake house from a most generous Raveler last week, on Wednesday. Next April, and then possibly to wear while sailing up the Atlantic coast.

I will be sewing Simplicity 4403, view A (the one on the far right). Now, I just need to pick up my other items, lining, buttons etc. I'll keep you updated!

Friday, June 26, 2015. Two Go Mad at Woolfest. In the front row we have a braid of gradient dyed baby alpaca from Hilltop Cloud in colourway Crocus. I plan to spin this one up in a light weight for a shawl as well. Then there are two packs of broken merino tops in red/black/white, and the teal Falkland Merino, both of which came from John Arbon. Beautiful goodies. Enjoy playing with them this year! June 26, 2015 at 4:20 PM. I love the but, and the variegated in the bag looks fun! June 27, 2015 at 2:21 PM.
