http://pgfiber2art.blogspot.com/2015/08/wooden-block-prints.html
Adventures in surface design with a focus on thermofax screen printing. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Quilt camp is always a time to try out new tools and products. Sue had several new wooden printing blocks that she hadn't taken time to play with so pulled out the supplies for printing. What you need for this process is a foam pad, some paint and either a foam brush or small pieces of sponge, and of course the printing block. These printing blocks are by Colouricious. Adventures in surface design with a focus on thermofax screen printing. Friday, July 31, 2015. Mokume - Stitched Shibori. During our road trip to Maine Sue spent part of the time in the car stitching on 2 pieces that she wanted to dye in the indigo pot. One was white (new fabric) and the other was green (previously dyed). But it's all an experiment - no matter. Below are the 2 pieces with the stitching gathered up. After dyeing, rinsing and removing the stitching, the pieces hang on the line. We haven't ...

http://pgfiber2art.blogspot.com/2015/08/ufo-busting-for-july.html
Adventures in surface design with a focus on thermofax screen printing. Friday, August 7, 2015. UFO Busting for July. It's time to link up with Vicki Welsh of Field Trips in Fiber. Again for July's UFO Busting. This month I can actually say I finished a UFO! I'm pleased with how the quilting turned out on this one, a modern take on a grid with rows of stitching 1/4" apart and the cross hatching limited to the area of the circles. For my end of month count, this is where things stand:. UFO's trashed - 0.

Adventures in surface design with a focus on thermofax screen printing. Monday, August 10, 2015. We already knew that we first wanted to go to “Artisans on the Green”, a yearly art show in Sandwich, NH, so started looking at shops to visit from that as our starting point. This is the row, Elizabeth chose to buy. And what a cleve...

After leaving Bittersweet Fabrics, we still had 75 minutes before curbside pick-up at the airport. So we quickly looked up what else would be located between Boscawen and Manchester, NH and found a shop not far from the airport. Located in an Industrial Park just one exit from where we get off to go to the airport is Patches QuiltLoft and Embroidery. The shop row this year i...
