http://tangledally.blogspot.com/2009/08/barbara-sears-1946-2009.html
I received very sad news today; Barbara Sears, who I had the pleasure of knowing through my years with the Visual Researchers Society of Canada, died of Cancer yesterday. Barbara was a bright and fun spark, who was always generous with her time and knowledge. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Barbara Ann Sears died of cancer of the pancreas at Toronto Grace Hospice on 25 August 2009, in Toronto. September 1st, 2009. UPDATE : Details about the Barbara Sears Endowment Fund may be found here:.

Tangledally: Fifteen

He liked Tom Petty. On the night they met she bailed him out of a bogus gaol. She was a fake whore (it was for some cheesy fund-raiser) and he took her number, written in smudgy eye-liner on the back of his hand. One afternoon, as they watched television, he pointed at the clock and told her she could make a wish. Later he kissed her, and as she hurried back for geography she thought about the red numbers: 2:22. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. An Awfully Big Blog Adventure.

The Walrus and the Carpenter: 3/1/10 - 4/1/10
http://jeanfischer.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
One of my favorite narrative poems is "The Walrus and the Carpenter" from Lewis Carroll's book Through the Looking Glass. The time has come," the Walrus said, "to talk of many things: of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings, and why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings.". I love it that the Walrus picks his world apart and finds so many things worth thinking about and discussing. I'm a bit eccentric that way, too. I wonder about. In this blog,. Chip MacGregor .com. Thursday, August 27, 2009. What I've Been Up To. What have I been up to this week? Well, it's not writing, I can tell you that much. This week I have not written or edited one word of the novel. Never you mind that I owe 10 pages for a manuscript evaluation by September 1st, or that I've had two critiques via blogs where I've received feedback that I could, you know, incorporate into said novel. I've done squat. So, this week I:. Saw Julie and Julia (fabulous! On Wednesday afternoon. Proceeded to pre...

Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Before I sign off for the holidays, I thought I'd link to a couple of other places where I've landed on the internet recently. First is a profile on the blog for La Muse. A writers' and artists' retreat in France I attended in June of 2008. I had a wonderful experience and this quick interview will tell you a little about my time there. I also did a profile of Grassroots.org for the travel blog The Lost Girls. Provides free technical infrastructure to non-profit organizations.

Fiction City: February 2010
http://fictioncity.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. I've done a lot of experimenting with this novel. I'm writing this draft super slow, with these long, leggy sentences. So my word count is not shooting up that high, which makes me nervous. But, I know that this is the best first draft I've ever had. Yet now I wonder if this is harmless and I can keep drafting this way, or if it's a lousy idea and I should just knock it off. Does anyone write this way? Have you tried and it found it to be a disaster? Posted by Lisa Katzenberger.
