Wednesday, August 8, 2012. All summer long, there has been a word that has kind of been my own personal theme- grateful. I can't say that I think like this year round, but for the last three months, I have woken up each morning with the word "grateful" on my mind. It's been my summer of gratefulness, and for that, I am grateful! 1 Soft sheets. I get to actually stay in the bed long enough to think about the way my sheets feel during the summer! 8 Rain that woke me a few mornings. I'm proud of us!

Monday, June 3, 2013. This was our 8th year doing awards. I remember when the kids were really young and we'd rake in the goods. Medals, pins, certificates, applause and lots of pictures. And I was so proud. Over the years though my thoughts and feelings about them. the awards have changed. I like them less and less each year. I like what it does in my proud heart less and less each year. Why can't the reward for a job well done just be passing onto the next grade? Why isn't that enough?

Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Things here have been so busy and I've been struggling to keep up. I loose papers and forget Dr. appointments and school open houses. Not my best start to a school year. I think things are getting better so here are a few things that have been going on. The last few years Gregg's boss give us tickets to a Clemson game. This year he took 3 out of the 5 and even though our blood runs a little deeper orange. The kids had a great time. So maybe I shouldn't let them do stuff like this.
