More importantly, how many boobs will our hero have to face before the film's finale? Do keep in mind, however, that this is essentially a no-budget production, and I do grade on a curve. Those expecting something substantial should steer clear of this flick. Beware! Blood filled, of course.

But enough about them. Let's discuss the original. Robocop is one of the few films I've ever seen balance that many elements and ideas while remaining thoroughly entertaining AND true to the original concept. Verhoeven and company should be proud. I rarely say that.

Friday, September 08, 2006. Before Mary Lambert directed. Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge. Urban Legends: Bloody Mary. She directed something good: a little ditty by the name of. An adaptation of Stephen King's orthographically incorrect novel, for which he wrote the screenplay. I'd like to begin my humble review by saying this:. Is the first film since. To scare the shit out of me. I was wearing my best jeans, too. Unpleasant Tidbit: Mary Lambert went on to direct the less-than-beloved.

Hollow Point Productions: Silver Bullet (1985) Review

http://hollow-point.blogspot.com/2006/10/silver-bullet-1985-review.html

Sunday, October 01, 2006. Silver Bullet (1985) Review. Ah, Gary Busey. You salty dog you! Making a Stephen King adaptation- you fox! As anyone can see, I'm being rather sarcastic. A Stephen King flick? Not the best career move in the world, good buddy. King adaptations are rarely very good, from. Series (which, in order of the three films, featured Robert Englund, Lance Henriksen, and Reggie Bannister, FYI) to the. Children of the Corn. Lady in the Water. Friday, September 22, 2006. Demons at the Door (2004) Review. I offer you, noble reader, a question of questionable proportions: What is the the worst movie you've ever seen? There have been many answers, such as. Son of the Mask. But I am here to say right now that, with the possible slight exception of the later, that I have found. Movie" of all time: Roy Knyrim's. Hollow Point Productions: February 2007

http://hollow-point.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 25, 2007. The Number 23 (2007) Review. The acting is all-around great, with the small exception of Logan Lerman (Evan Treborn, age 7, in The Butterfly Effect), who’s not as much a bad actor as his character is out of place. Basically, he’s just there to add a sidekick to Walter Sparrow while showing a few examples of how great a dad Walter is. Overall, with the exception of a cliché twist and a few bothersome coincidences, The Number 23 is a well-made, entertaining, and strangely suspens...

Hollow Point Productions: Coming Attractions

http://hollow-point.blogspot.com/2006/09/coming-attractions.html

Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Okay, well, thanks to a serious amount of distractions and road blocks (including a goddamn girl who can't get off the goddamn computer in the goddamn theatre room at the goddamn school), my latest review has been delayed. But don't worry (who would worry about my reviews, I haven't the slightest), I have some goood shit for you coming soon. First off, my rentals for this week include. Saturday, September 23, 2006. A Nightmare on Elm Street *Special* Review. On Wednesday I went and did something I never thought I would get the chance to- I saw. A Nightmare on Elm Street. On the big screen. Ooooh, the wondrous wonder of it all! WARNING: SPOILERS HERE-IN* *. How about the acting! Of course, these things don't take away from Tina's famous death scene (later ressurected for the less-than-lucky but sadly lovable baby sitter in. But gimme a break! Saturday, September 30, 2006. Near Dark (1987) Review. I'm not going to try and keep it a secret- I'm in LOVE with the acting stylings of Lance Henriksen. So much so, I might even eventually see. Pirates of Treasure Island. But that is neither here nor there, as I am now reviewing a film that is no doubt 56 trillion times better- the '80s classic. From director Kathryn Bigelow, who you might know as the mind behind such feats as the Keanu Reeves adrenaline-kicker. Pink Floyd the Wall. The less-than-welco...

Tuesday, September 05, 2006. Hollow Point Podcast Ep. 0 - A Pile of Shit. Pardon me for making this a quick post, but I have a bad sun burn, my back is killing me, and my eyes are about to shut themselves without my permission. The first real episode of the Hollow Point Podcast is up here. Have fun, and please be patient with it, as there are plenty of good moments, but we were improvising the whole thing. Also, on an update note, there will be weekly reviews on this blog starting either this or next week.

Friday, January 12, 2007. Bruce Campbell in Old Spice Commercial. Film Fiends

Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Young girl raised in the forest by a CIA agent meets the world for the first time. This one left me a little flat. It was entertaining enough but could've been more. Intriguingly, it was a movie about a girl seeking an identity, while the movie itself seemed to have the same problem. Some of this seemed intentional, and I give credit for that parallelism but am disappointed by the execution. Hanna was caught between two worlds, two genres, and left me stranded there.

But there are a few other films on that list that I might pick instead. You pick your own #10 from that list, okay? It's been fun. As I said before, I might do Film Fight #5 some day, but it won't be any time soon. 4 2001: A Space Odyssey. 4 My Life as a Dog. 4 The Third Man. 3 Cool Hand Luke. 1 City of God*. 1 A Clockwork Orange. 1 A Face in the Crowd.
