Journey To Jubilee

Tuesday, June 21, 2016. It's been nearly a year since I've blogged anything. Partially because my world feels like it's moving at a thousand miles an hour most of the time, and also because I really don't think anyone reads this.so what's the point, really? All of the programs I've looked into, however, are PhD track programs.meaning, if I start down that road, I won't be stopping until I've gotten my Doctorate degree. Can I really do that? Is that even possible? What do I do? Anybody have any answers?

Journey To Jubilee: December 2014

http://findingmyjubilee.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Well, guys.it's New Year's Eve! This year has been the most amazing one. Last December, I posted about how the lady that I nannied for declared that 2014 would be my "Year of Jubilee". And it has been! And it has been a huge help in how I deal with things everyday! God has done an immense work in me.he turned my heart of stone. Into a heart of flesh. A lot of this has been done through reading His word. This year, I read the Bible. I was a camp counselor. When I came to Mood...

Journey To Jubilee: November 2014

http://findingmyjubilee.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2014. I had such a great Thanksgiving break! It was amazing just to spend some time relaxing with friends. I am so blessed to be here.seriously, I live in Chicago! This is my home. So, last week I talked about how a great friend helped me to be able to pay off the majority of what I owed so that I could register for classes. All I owed was a few hundred left and I was going to be able to pay that soon after! I couldn't believe it! I think God is having none of that! He is too good.

Journey To Jubilee: Witness at the Tattoo Parlor

http://findingmyjubilee.blogspot.com/2015/05/witness-at-tattoo-parlor.html

Friday, May 22, 2015. Witness at the Tattoo Parlor. So yesterday, due to a mixture of free-time and my natural rebellious streak, I decided it was high-time I got a new tattoo! I had been wanting these two for awhile.I guess it was just time! So, when I got off work, I hiked on down to the South side (I was definitely freaked out a bit). The guy who did my tats was named Tony. He looked slightly taken aback to hear I was going to school at Moody! In the meantime, here are the two from last night.

Journey To Jubilee: My last morning at CAOG

http://findingmyjubilee.blogspot.com/2015/05/my-last-morning-at-caog.html

Sunday, May 24, 2015. My last morning at CAOG. This morning was my last at Central Assembly of God. I have really enjoyed my time there! It is a great church full of loving people. For this morning's lesson, I decided to do something a little different.the kids and I did communion! I really will miss them. I got very lucky with a church like that, and I feel like that was something only God could have orchestrated. I'm excited for the next leg of my journey and I can't wait to see what God has in store!

More wool than sugar and spice | Yarn Harlot

http://www.yarnharlot.ca/2014/10/more-wool-than-sugar-and-spice

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. More wool than sugar and spice. October 14, 2014. Myrie’s little sweater was Minni. 8211; knit out of Madeleine Tosh Sock. In Antler (the cream) and Magnolia Leaf (not the cream). The needles – in case you were wondering, were 2.25mm and 1.75mm – fiddly, I know. I trimmed it in green left over from a sweater last year, and I made the largest size because when you make something like this, it should fit for a while. It was lovely to see them being used, ...

Finding Josephine

Monday, March 2, 2015. It's been a while since I've written. It's been a while since I've dealt with the loss of Tanya, the failed adoption. It's hard to acknowledge that term, failed adoption. I don't feel as though I've failed anyone except Tanya, and that will follow me for the rest of my life and hers. I wrote that all a couple of months ago, but it took a lot longer than I planned for me to talk myself into getting things done . . . Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Finding my joy

Monday, October 25, 2010. So appreciative that T (Dad) was willing to keep up w/DNSN for days 5, 6 and 7 while I was out of town! As T mentioned, we are planning to have a family meeting tonight to talk about the week. In preparation for that I think it is important to summarize my observations. I don't plan to talk about all of these with the kids - but this is more to help us plan our timeline for training. I am really interested to hear what the kids thought about the week. 5) kids learning to keep tr...

Finally, we come to what I really wanted to talk about in the first place: what do we all do now? I have been a little slow in getting this final post out there because I wanted to absorb the popular reaction to the recent decision by the US Supreme Court to see if it conformed to my analysis of the situation. It has been interesting to see at least some of the public comment. In recent days, the prol...
