July 2015 - Finding the Rainbow

Monthly Archives: July 2015. In Share Your Thoughts. Bull; 0 Comments. What if ‘lost angels’ were watching and protecting us? I recently came across a delightful book, ‘Angel Breaths’ by Sherrie Lowe an experienced author of now six novels and two memoirs. Honestly, I found this book under the theme pregnancy loss and miscarriage, but it is far more fantastical than a reality story. Sherrie Lowe eloquently tells the story through the eyes of a ‘lost… Read more →. What if we talked about Miscarriage?
Love to Conquer All

Love to Conquer All. In Share Your Thoughts. Bull; 0 Comments. I am currently in Australia with my family, where there is a very public debate occurring over legalising gay marriage. What I don’t understand is why we are even discussing this matter. Are we truly debating the desire for two people to demonstrate their love through a long-term commitment? It seems to me we have our priorities wrong. On top of that, divorces and separations seem to increase year on year, with break ups and extra marital aff...

Monthly Archives: August 2015. In Share Your Thoughts. Bull; 3 Comments. This week I quietly celebrated my thirty-ninth birthday! I certainly don’t feel close to forty years old! Nonetheless, the years just keep getting shorter and that landmark birthday is fast approaching me. It has also now been exactly three years that we started this journey, and we are also, next week, hitting a precipice as we find out if we… Read more →. Finding Reasons to Celebrate. The New Eve Fertility Method. In Share Your Thoughts. Bull; 0 Comments. In Share Your Thoughts. Bull; 3 Comments. I’m sitting here at almost midnight with my newborn son who is squirming beside me. He is almost four weeks old, and yet it still feels so surreal that I am his mother. I’m so in awe of this little human and the man he will one day become. It was certainly a journey to… Read more →. Monthly Archives: April 2015. In Share Your Thoughts. Bull; 0 Comments. Today I sit in the airport departure lounge, after a week-long work conference, waiting to board my flight home. Airports fascinate me, and I’m an avid people watcher, which always makes the departure and arrivals lounge so intriguing. People come and go; families, solo travellers, business professionals; each heading in their own direction; all with their own stories to tell.… Read more →. Lifting the Lid on Fertility. This year is different. This year is different. Today, October 15, there is an ache in my heart as I remember our sweet angel babies. A tiny bit of the sting has been taken away though. Last Thursday, October 6, Phillip and I welcomed Brooklyn Elizabeth into the world. She has filled every moment since with absolute joy. Continue reading →. And then there is this…. Christmas is quickly approaching and pug cuddles are all Phillip and I need Santa to bring this year. 8221; Continue reading →. In our hearts...
Blank dots – Mom to Angels
https://momtoangels.wordpress.com/2015/07/25/blank-dots
This summer I am in a course about family development course. If the course has taught me one thing, it is that my “crazy” family is actually right in line with the norm. I’ve been working on a paper today for the class and had to put together a genogram. So I have to ask, why? And as I began to try to rationalize it all to myself, I came up with this:. Family- I’m closer to so many members of my family than ever before. Unfortunately loss does that. Yeah, I hate a lot about my miscarriages. I do not...

Our Timeline – Mom to Angels
https://momtoangels.wordpress.com/our-timeline
September 2011- We decided to “try” and I stopped taking birth control. December 7, 2011- Period was a day late, so took a pregnancy test “just in case.” Got our first plus sign. December 14, 2011- Went to the doctor and my urine test came back very faint. Had an ultrasound and we couldn’t see anything. The doctor thought we were not as far along as we thought and tested my hcg levels. December 16, 2011- Tested hcg levels again. December 23, 2011- I started to spot and attributed it to the ultrasound.
Make what happens beautiful – Mom to Angels

Make what happens beautiful. About a week after my last post, I came home to a great surprise! Can you see it? There is a little gosling, by momma (or daddy) goose’s tail! I was just so excited to see the gosling that I ran into the house and dragged Phillip out to see it! The geese haven’t been around much, but I do see the gosling occassionally. The yellow fur is slowing turning grey and the gosling looks a little older every time I see it. Zeke’s Beans and Bowls. Goose, Goose…No Gosling. What are your...

A few streets down were two lovingly restored buildings on the same block, each with its own sign:. This old laneway factory has a "partial demolition" sign on it.
