Fat Boy vs. the Cheerleaders. By Geoff Herbach from the publisher Sourcebooks Fire. I don’t recall asking for it, but I am not one to turn down a free book. Especially one that pits band geeks against, well…. Support the rebellion efforts of their band geek friends. Goth girls. High schoolers who like a litt...

A Librarian's Take. My take on book and library topics. There are books I want to read, mean to read, have meant to read by this point in my life…but other books get/got in the way, or they haven’t been published yet, or I’ve checked it out then returned it without cracking the the thing open. This is that list of books. I promise I will get to you. By Tolstoy (I devoured. Back in college, and own this title, but just haven’t picked it up. Maybe next snow storm…). All of Cory Doctorow. And buy me one!

Dream Shelf | A Librarian's Take
https://alibrarianstake.wordpress.com/dream-shelf
A Librarian's Take. My take on book and library topics. Most librarians have a dream shelf, while others just want more shelves. I subscribe to the dream shelf. I don’t want just any book to sit on my shelf, not being read (or, more appropriately, re-read). If I don’t intend on reading a book, or if I didn’t really care for it, then I don’t want to own it. Simple as that. The books you will find on my Amazon wish list. What books are on your dream shelf? What's On Your Mind? Enter your comment here.

A Librarian's Take. My take on book and library topics. I’m not that good at Twitter-ing, and I got in fits and spurts on Pinterest. But Instagram? I’m on it! Other than that (and Facebook) I have a few social networking accounts of my own, but mostly I follow others who do a great job at whatever it is they do, be it reading and reviewing, cooking/baking, living a gluten-free life, etc. Below are links to my pages as well as links to those pages I cannot live without visiting. How Sweet It Is. Review: U...
