Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Glass etching tutorial {5 easy steps}. A friend taught me the steps to etch glass so we could do this as a craft for our MOPS group. I figured I'd photograph all the steps to create my first ever tutorial. To spell out whatever word you wish to etch. With the painters tape. Create a border. Press all edges down thoroughly. Spread the etching cream. After 5 minutes, scrape the excess etching cream off with the knife. Cant wait for Thursday, the ladies are gonna love it!

She didn't have the time so I said I'd take it home and make them for her. SO I did and they turned out adorable. Nah, took the guess work out of how big to make them and hem them. We typically call the upper midwest in the United States of America our home, but we began our year traveling abroad for 60 days. Starting January 2013 we were out adventuring. In Italy. My husband (Jerimy) and I had always dreamed of traveling overseas together. This trip was years in the making and a dream come true. Our Little Misters were adventuring with us to Florence, Italy- our temporary home for 56 days. When our journey began Oliver just turned 5 years old and Lucius was 3 years old.

We asked the neighbors to join us if they were free- happily they were. Then Saturday was hot again and we thought, why not have a second outdoor movie night. Sunday, November 30, 2014. The Saturday before Thanksgiving Jerimy and I pulled out our Lefsa making skills. Back in 2006 (pre-kids) we took a Lefsa making class together. It was quite fun but we never got around to making it again. Until now. We actually can work in the kitchen pretty well when it calls for our individual skills. I LOVE rolling out the dough into mostly round lefsa and Jerimy expertly cooks it on the griddle. I think secretly he loves it cause he gets to use the lefsa sword. So they too...

Friday, August 14, 2015. Oliver and Lucius make friends with a lot of people. We know a lot of our neighbors because of the boys. It helps that were outside a bunch during the summer, so we see all the neighbors coming and going. One good friend they have is John and his wife from across the street. John is 81 and his health is declining. The boys always make sure to greet him when they see him. It's pretty special. John and his wife love little kids and are super patient with mine. Meet my "elf army".
