Tonight’s Anchor Chart is all about skill of compare and contrast. Be sure to read my disclaimer about anchor charts in my previous post. Note: Whenever my students see the words “compare and contrast” in the directions they draw a tiny Venn Diagram above it. This is a simple way to annotate and ensure they are close reading the directions. I am hoping that this skill pays off for us on the big test in two weeks. On Mar 30, 2015 in 6th Grade. Teaching- Another Day In Paradise. This site is dedicated to improving, inspiring, and enjoying the profession of teaching. Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Need an easy formative assessment. Don't all teachers! Each student holds a shape and answers questions simply by the way they hold their shape. The teacher scans the shapes with their phone or iPad. The answers and class responses are instantly collected and shown. I have given it a trial run and it seems to work pretty well. Anyone else use this before!
