DIY parenting - at it's best and worst. Saturday, 19 January 2013. I'd say this was Shae's first visit to the dentist. but we did make one try when she was 3, which resulted in full on meltdown screaming (on my part) and tears and refusal to cooperate at all (that one was Shae). BUT - today we had resounding success. No complaints, no tears, no screaming, and NO CAVITIES! THEY'RE GONNA DO WHAAAAAAAT? Looking a little nervous for what's to come. 21 January 2013 at 12:51. No matter what she's doing, she does it with earnest. Make believe is very serious work. Today, Shae and her friend Jacob spent some time make believing and playing dress up in her room. When they came out for the big reveal, they moved slowly, held hands, and had shy smiles on their faces. You could tell, they felt good about their choices.
