Big Australian Salmon (25-Feb-13). February 9, 2014. September 17, 2012. The cold weather was really drying up the bait fish, meaning we didn’t really have any bait for the larger species. While trying to catch the baitfish, with small pieces of pilchard, we hooked on to something big! September 16, 2012. I was able to hook up on some squid towards the end of the day for a nice mixed bag. September 27, 2011. Not long after catching this one, we live baited a yellowtail for a slightly bigger salmon!

First blackfish of the season (27-Oct-12). November 4, 2012. A few hours before sunset, we gave one of our favourite fishing spots for catching blackfish a quick go. Blustery conditions but our floats remained still enough to attract a fish. After not too long a wait, we were on! A long time between drinks. February 9, 2014. Catching some sunnies (16-Jan-11). January 24, 2011. Nothing much else for the rest of the day. Here was a unique catch from my work mate that I have never caught before. A pair of sunglasses! November 28, 2010. Just a friendly reminder to clean up after yourselves if you’re fishing a publicly accessible place such as a wharf. We wouldn’t want to ruin it for the rest of us by having the places banned from fishing altogether! A bit of everything.
