He caught 7 fish to 34kg from 9 fish hooked. Salmon to 2.5kg have been found around the Geelong Yacht Club. Casting soft plastics has produced the best results. Well 5 o’clock came and Pedro and Max Bartlett were off. We were out in 36 metres of water and baited up and started a berley trail to bring the fish to us. Most of the fish are smaller this year. Years ago 8kg was normal. This year 5kg seems to be the normal. There are also some gummy sharks around. 3kg is a good size. Plenty of squid and flathead around.

Snapper to 7kg have been caught off Barwon Heads in 30 metres of water. A 67kg snapper was caught off North Shore rocks using fresh squid for bait. Reports of salmon to around 2kg in the river mouth at Barwon Heads. Most of the salmon were small though but legal. Tuna between 12 and 18kg are still being caught off Portland. Big numb...
