Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Rudee turned not so family friendly! I took the day off on Friday to get a kick start on the holiday weekend. After getting my gear ready and packed, I got down to Rudee early . On Independence Day weekend it is only fitting that I would get to fish with my buddy Mike. Mike has spent the better part of the past two . Storms on the horizon! Over the past few weeks, we have had some storms roll through that got me thinking about on the water preparation and safety in the event .

Infishicated: September 2013 was fishy!
http://infishicatedkayaking.blogspot.com/2013/10/september-2013-was-fishy.html
Tournaments and Events Schedule. Thursday, October 3, 2013. September 2013 was fishy! This Red was one of many while fishing 6 inches of water, it was an awesome day. After fighting this brute I had to replace the hook due to it no longer resembling a hook. Fat 27" E.R. Redfish. I can stand too! On the windy days fishing deeper waters or at night I have been successful lately using Gulp swimming mullet on a weedless 1/4 oz-1/2 oz jighead, slow bouncing the bottom. First fish of the trip. I had an Infishi...

Infishicated: July 2013
http://infishicatedkayaking.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tournaments and Events Schedule. Friday, July 26, 2013. The Past Few Months. As of late, I haven’t been on the water as much as in years past. Between my work load and the weather, it has been frustrating trying to plan any attack. Now that I live in Hampton, I have spent a good amount of time just scouting new waters. Here are some photos that summarize my spring and early summer. This fat 35" Blue Catfish secured me the win and I won the Calcutta. Whoohoo! Off to Hawaii for our late Honeymoon. The seco...

Infishicated: October 2012
http://infishicatedkayaking.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Tournaments and Events Schedule. Thursday, October 25, 2012. Of course I was on board! It felt like I was hooked to the bumper of a small SUV, hanging on going for a ride. After a brief battle I was rewarded with a 46” drum for my efforts and luck. After spinning 360 degrees multiple times and some long powerful drag burning runs, I managed to pull this fat 48” plus Red Drum onto my lap. Until next time, go and get Infishicated! Infishicated: April 2012
http://infishicatedkayaking.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tournaments and Events Schedule. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Attacked by Bluefish followed up with a skunk! The second fish of the night latched hold of my crotch and wouldn’t let go! Hearing good reports of drum being landed from the eastern shore, I finally had a day that the weather allowed me to get over there and chase some bruiser reds around the flats and shoals – well, so I thought. The day started out optimistic with nice weather and a light breeze. Sunrise overlooking Fisherman's Inlet. Speck Tr...

Tournaments and Events Schedule. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. This past week I fished the Flatheads and Flatties tournament which is the third out of seven tournaments in the Pirates of Lynnhaven. With the two flatties secured I had completed the first task for the tournament. However, I knew Jarred. First fish of the day 29" Blue, and Dan lurking in the background. Who was still at work and we coordinated to meet at 6pm for round two. This lad was bigger than the first, but not by much. Heroes On The Water.

Infishicated: November 2011
http://infishicatedkayaking.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tournaments and Events Schedule. Monday, November 21, 2011. Two Skunks, Trout, and Togs. The past week has been quite the fishing quest for me. It was seven days of fishing that consisted of skunks, challenging conditions, little sleep, freezing temperatures, redemption, fog and a magnificent view of the rising sun over a very serene Chesapeake Bay. A couple of followers to keep me company. My answer came when fellow angler, Rob Choi. Called around mid-day. He and Justin. It seemed non existent and I had...
