Imagine a trace on the land rippling kindness. Most of the roads on the isles of Lewis and Harris, Scottish Outer Hebrides, are single lanes. Every few miles, a passing place appears on the route as a temporary salvation, where cars can over take and follow their opposite directions. This site of ephemeral interval between movement and pause reveals an unexpected cordiality between strangers, as it is common to drivers to sign to each other when in a passing place. The work was part of the collective show.

During the Summer of 2013, myself and fellow cultural-ecological artist Flavia Salvador.
