I realise that this blog only has pictures, and thats because I've gotten to busy/lazy to think about things to write as its very time and energy consuming. 16th feb 2010 1030pm. Sometimes life is so busy, i wish i had time to relax. Sometimes i wish life would be busier so i dont need to think of some things. Words pop in now and then. I want to pen them down but then. There woudl be so much criticism i would be condemned. People say live life with no regrets. Little things, big things. Things i did not so much. Things i didnt do, more. Its like i cant say it straight. Too many people, too many feelings. I want to be here. I want to be there. And go for ikea.

Having a little free time, i scooted over to spy the new block opposite the lab which will be my soon to be dwelling, in 6 weeks time. Its this new block called Flemingsberg (Flemings-by-eh) Centrum. Its a project to build 169 student hostels and a small shopping mall next to it. So there are cafes, a huge supermart, and some other small shops. Roadside food the best and cheapest. Non-halal macD with bacon! Big moon shine bright bright. At last it gets dark at night. One of my labmate plays the double bass and has a small band and they were invited to play at a local pub this week. So some guys from teh lab decided to go down to support him. Strawberries are in at last. Well, actually they were around already since a few weeks ago. but now they are getting cheap! Whooo hooo. about SGD1 for a punnet of 10 or so. and its sweet, not like the ones back in asia. I got a shock and decided to stick to my Sgd 1 ones. Its normally teh simple foods that everybody takes for granted that are the ones that are most sought after by wayward visitors coming back. A roadside stall selling fried fritters, from banana, tapioca, yam, currypuffs, fish dough. Crunchy, oily, tasty. Cheap 60 cents bun full of holes and layered with cheap lard inside tasting heavily of some cheap flavour. still, it brings back memories, and worth eating once a year. New place opened in town so went to try it out. supposedly served quite ok dishes according to the ambassador of malaysia. so me and some brave souls went to venture there on one cold sunday night. The prawns were supposd to be masak kuning, or with coconut milk, that one was ok. the other dish is ayam masak merah, the ayam I see but not the merah, tasted almost the same as the french bean sambal thing. So its quite dissapointing overall. Dessert was sago and they put it with jackfruit, abit strange.
