Tuesday, February 23, 2010. I'm envious of people who can "just let go," and allow life (or whatever forces are driving life) to lead them. I'm a fairly self-aware person; I think I have a pretty good idea of my strengths, weaknesses, struggles! And, one of my biggest struggles is just letting life happen. I'm not sure what, if anything, is at the root of the struggle. Is it genetic? That I need to have a plan for my future? That I need to be in the driver's seat? Sunday, March 20, 2011. Catchy title for the post, huh (insert sarcastic tone)? This weekend was fun. My sister-in-law, Kelly, came to visit Maria (and her namesake) along with her family. I know that sounds silly, but it makes a big difference in my work/rest of my life balance. Monday, 31 October 2011. Yesterday was as good as Christmas for Bowen when she received her Halloween costume! She has been talking for a week about her wings, crown and magic wand - asking me daily if they were ready. The wings were definitely a big project, but they turned out incredible and it was so completely satisfying to watch her have such a wonderful time in them.
