Confessions of a Diet Cokeaholic. A 20 something's thoughts on the world around her. October 29, 2014. The Brain on 23. Really wish my friend would stop sending me articles that say everything I want to say…! Colorado; dietcokeaholic style. October 22, 2014. I mentioned some time back that one of my top destinations. Was in Colorado – Boulder, to be exact. This trip was close enough to mark it off the list! Which was the only place open after 8pm. For lunch, we stopped at Coffee on the Rocks. Despite my ...

When Sex Isn’t Sex – twentysomethingnothing
https://twentysomethingnothing.wordpress.com/2014/01/23/when-sex-isnt-sex
Single. broke. awkward. When Sex Isn’t Sex. It amazes me that people are able to separate sex from emotions. I’ve tried having Friends With Benefits before with varying degrees of success, but invariably at some point my vagina convinces my brain that all of those endorphins must actually. Of course once the spell is broken – in the case of my tranquilliser-addicted delinquent friend this was with the aid of a mutual case of “OMG, you gave me chlamydia! To my lady cave of wonders). The other sense of int...

Confessions of a Diet Cokeaholic. A 20 something's thoughts on the world around her. Hang up and hang out. February 11, 2015. February 12, 2015. Once a week, and avoid room service. I love Panera’s you pick two options. Usually I go for a salad-sandwich combo, but on especially chilly nights, I indulge in Mac and cheese. She proceeded to get up and get herself a refill instead. I was that teenager once. I sure hope he grows out of it soon. Valentine’s cliche post, albeit early. January 29, 2015. I’...

Confessions of a Diet Cokeaholic. A 20 something's thoughts on the world around her. My ears finally popped! October 20, 2014. I landed home in Dallas sometime Saturday afternoon after a 5-day vacation in Colorado. Not to sound like a wimp, but the combination of allergies and change in altitude left me feeling less than stellar. Somehow, though, two more flights later that took me to the great city of Syracuse, I’m recovering! My ears are popping in my 6th floor conference room! Estes Park, Colorado.

When gender and sex identity is up for discussion at Walgreens | Writing Humbuggery
https://writinghumbuggery.wordpress.com/2014/04/06/gender-games
Such exquisite torture, this writing humbuggery. – Henry Miller. When gender and sex identity is up for discussion at Walgreens. I took a trip to my friendly neighborhood Walgreens tonight for a few necessities: antibacterial soap for my new tattoo, deodorant and a variety pack of tampons. I took my goods to the cashier and entered my phone number in the hopes of saving some pennies on my purchase. Naturally, my name popped up on the screen, and was seen by the guy behind the register. 8220;Oh, wait....

Tired and thirsy! | My Camera and I

My Camera and I. A look into the world through my eyes! Sunset over White Bay. Cool picture, don’t you think? The reason for the title is because I took this on top of an overlook after a 5 hr hike down and up, then back down and up again. My journey began way back over at the hill-top in the upper right hand corner. I didn’t pack enough water so I was out by this point, but between the breeze and view I was able to relax up here for a while! As always thanks for looking! Saba, Dutch Caribbean. You are c...

Why I Am Leaving Facebook. Thank You and Welcome to New Readers →. Notes from a Train Station Waiting Room. March 12, 2014. My grandfather died. So I visited my extended family’s nerve center in the suburban mid-Atlantic. The thing I want to write about now, though, happened after I left my granny’s house. It’s the story of how I missed my train. As it turned out, I had to sit in the station for three hours until the next train. I found a seat in the waiting room and opened my book. Was snoring. To m...

The Entitlement of Opinion. – Ephemeral Optimism

Smiling occasionally through the fug of doubt. The Entitlement of Opinion. February 24, 2014. February 27, 2014. Right, here I am stating my opinion. In a post about opinions, and how they are really not all that great a thing after all. More than a little hypocritical, I will agree. His works, in particular The Ancestor’s Tale and The Selfish Gene are not, specifically, a gospel for godlessness, but they do lead the reader to the natural conclusion that there. Which leads me back to my main point. O...
