The Folding Bike Blog: September 2014

http://foldingbikeblog.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

The Folding Bike Blog. The continuing adventures of an ordinary bloke on a folding bike. Thursday, 11 September 2014. I hope you find this interesting, especially if you're of a technical mind. I make no apology for sleep-induced, keyboard-prints-on-the-forehead if you're not. Caveat emptor and read on. One of the first things I noticed about riding my 3 speed Dahon Vitesse was that the standard gearing was WAY too low for normal riding. Drive components wear out. I’ll post up some pictures in due ...

The Folding Bike Blog: September 2012

http://foldingbikeblog.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

The Folding Bike Blog. The continuing adventures of an ordinary bloke on a folding bike. Thursday, 27 September 2012. Life is good to be honest. Today is another one of those beautiful Autumn days. It’s not that warm but the skies are clear and there is minimal wind, so the cycling is excellent. I just took a lazy spin from one of our client’s offices back to headquarters, taking in one of the city’s largest parks. On the way, just for the sake of it, I snapped a few pictures for the blog:. So I stumped ...

The Folding Bike Blog: November 2012

http://foldingbikeblog.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

The Folding Bike Blog. The continuing adventures of an ordinary bloke on a folding bike. Friday, 30 November 2012. Road or path - a bit of a rant. There are two immutable facts about travelling by bicycle. Cars don’t want you on the road and pedestrians don’t want you on the footpath. So what do you do? The better-lit “Winter Route” (as it has now become known) which I use to commute at the moment follows for the most part one of the Sustrans National Cycle routes. So then there’s the road. Incidentally,...

A Fat Knacker Cycles. My journey from 16 stone 7 llbs back to somewhere near normality using my bike. Saturday, 20 October 2012. I got my spoke fixed yesterday so rode my GT road bike to work today. From here I hit the quite country lanes for a few miles and the day was just waking up and getting a little bit lighter and you could hear the birds beginning to chirp and things rustling in hedgerows as you pass by, bidding good morning to another cyclist heading the other way I carried on. But as always onc...

Wir buchen einen Tagesausflug via Lan Ha Bay zur Halong Bay und haben Glück: auf unserem Boot sind gerade mal acht weitere Passagiere und auch die Sonne schaut ab und zu hinter den Wolken hervor.
